Forums - Nintendo - F-Zero for the 3DS

I almost had a wet dream just thinking about the possibilities for F-Zero on the 3DS.  Mario Kart will show that the 3DS is a perfect place for racers.  F-Zero on the 3DS would be simply amazing.

I am calling out to all F-Zero fans!!!  Let us imagine the awesomeness that F-Zero would be on the 3DS.  Sorry if I fooled anyone thinking that this thread contained any information regarding F-Zero.

How can almost have a wet dream? :O

But yeah, if it were to come out, it would give me the perfect chance to take my frustration with me in my bag, and if I were to scream in anger while playing, people would be quick to try it and understand why ^^

The ability to finally play F-Zero online excites me almost as much as the 3D adding to the driving experience.

How do you feel about having customized racers like in F-Zero GX?  That would be great for single player but I think it would have play balance issues for multiplayer.  Although it would be very cool if they were able to somehow make the customized racers decently balanced.

Apology not accepted.

Anyways, I would be more excited for a burnout 3 port than a totally new f-zero game. (because I have never played burnout 3)

If they'd make a good matchmaking system, customization could work. Personally, I'm not buff on online for racers. It's a local multiplayer thing, especially with the amount of failure one can have in an F-Zero game. Heck, the only genre where I really love online is shooters.

FZero is a weird one for me. The snes one was cool but at the time Mario Kart may as well have been glued in the cart slot.

The N64 version was amazing, one of the best racing games i've ever played (along with WaveRace64 - man the N64 was amazing!)

I could never get into GX on the GC and the GBA ones passed me by completely. I really should give GX another chance.

I will sign a petition today if they make this for the Wii U with Online Multiplayer...

F-Zero can only regain its former state of glory when it's developed by EAD, but sales expectations probably don't justify that. Amusement Vision and Suzak failed to do the series justice and I rather have no F-Zero than another outsourced one that ends up being a disappointment.

I don't care about 3D, I don't care about online, customized cars can burn in hell and story modes are a giant pile of crap. It's time to focus on what made the series great and that is purity. No style over substance garbage.

I agree on not outsourcing F-Zero anymore.  I have to admit the story mode was pretty lame in GX (especially some of the crazy hard missions).  The only thing I can remember about the F-Zero GX story mode was getting stuck at a part where Captain Falcon had to race against a bomb, time, or whatever and I couldn't ever complete it.  The customized cars were alright but nothing special.  Hell, I'd even be happy if they just did a F-Zero X 3DS remake.  To think of it that would actually be maybe their best option right now instead of going further away from the SNES and N64 versions.

That would be depressing, just like it is with Starfox. Apparently the best game in the series is poised to remain the best one forever with no serious attempts being made to change that.

You really suck if you couldn't even complete GX's story mode on normal difficulty. The whole thing was either learning the track by heart or using the AI against itself. The most ridiculous part was that the final mission was by far the easiest one, because it was just a race against a ghost.

I never did -_-

Not sure what difficulty I was trying to complete it on.  Perhaps it was normal mode and I just lost interest in it.  I am sure I can beat it (eventually) but the lack of interest probably kept me from doing so.  My F-Zero skills were top notch for F-Zero X but GX seemed to use cheap tactics for the AI.

Anyways, how do you see the F-Zero series improving if you don't like any of the changes from F-Zero X to GX.  What new idea can they implement into the series to advance it?
