1.5ghz maybe, maybe not, but I would be shocked if it did not have an 8mp camera. I cannot see any reason why Samsung and Google would release what it supposed to be the flaship Android phone with Specs less than the Galaxy S2 which came out back in May.

Im guessing you have HTC Evo 3D which is nice too. However the CPU in that device is less efficient than the TI OMAP in the NExus Prime which is actually downclocked from the default 1.5 clock speed. This results in poorer battery life for the HTC. Dual cameras also apparently aren't very good, despite being 3D capable...but I've read this, not comfirmed it in person. In any case, both devices are stacked to the teeth with very current specs and if one wants to be in a spec war, both would fare well. |
I was actually under the impression that the Snapdragon processor in the EVO 3D was also a 1.5GHz downgraded to 1.2, but yes that is the phone I have. And the pictures arent great when just shot from a single lens, but the 3D pictures are actually quite good. They are better than my original EVO in either case despite that the original EVO had an 8MP camera. And the battery life is a huge improvement over the original EVO, but its middle of the pack when compared with most smart phones

This is the only feature that matters to me out of the ones you listed. This is actually cool... As far as the rest - High end dual core processor may be needed for android phones but iOS and WP7 are better optimized to do most taks and don't really need to take the battery hit of a 1.5 ghz dual core CPU. 8MP camera sounds nice but is meanigless if they use a cheap lens, limited light sensor and crap autofocus which is what most cellphones use. As for 4G, most major cities will be lucky to deliver 3 Mbits of data to your phone with full bars. Far cry for 4G which probably won't be the standard speed for another 4 years. |
Can you please elaborate on how the google wallet will work. I understand one can add ones credit card etc to the google account but how will one use it in a store. Also will this use data for constact google connection. Thanks

ITs a service using NFC technology which allows you to add your Master Card credit card(for now) and use it wherever Mastercard paypass is available. Visa im sure is soon to release its own version that works with google wallet.
It works in the same manner as bluetooth technology and no data service is needed. The chip on the phone it self contains the information about your credit card, and nothing else so it should be secure as well.
Google wallet is one of the first, but there should be a few services like this available within a year. I expect paypal to release one as well as they were supposed to launch a service with google. Instead Google backed out last second, and released Google Wallet...and Paypal is taking them to court.

Thanks disolitude. Really appreciate it. It sounds really promising. I end up with way too much change in the wallet when buying something with cash. Sure there is credit and debit cards but this sounds bit more intuitive somehow. I am sure apple will include this in their Iphone 5 or 5S. They really go one big feature per iteration.
Also paypal suing google. It seems it is really good time for lawyers (well when is it not good time for them). The samsung and apple patent lawsuit are going to be huge though.
