Nintendo - who are publishing the game in Europe - have confirmed that Resident Evil Revelations will be compatible with the new Circle Pad attachment, dubbed the slider pad. This is a second circle pad with two more shoulder buttons and according to Nintendo is will enable you to interact with the environments in new ways.

Unlike Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, Resident Evil Revelations marks a return to classic survival horror Resident Evil gameplay.
According to Nintendo, Resident Evil Revelations will also answer questions and reveal truths from the main Resident Evil storyline between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5.

I'm personally surprised that Nintendo are stepping in to publish the game, and the fact that we get it before the Americans do. I also wonder if Nintendo are going to bundle this with the slider pad as well as selling it individually. I'm not sure whether I'm getting this day 1, but I'm without a doubt buying it, I think it looks amazing.
