And here they come like clockwork.

1)  they have the second best record in Football,  so yes they are.

That's not true. The Lions have the best record right now, because the divisional games tiebreaker puts them above the Packers.

He just recognizes what I'm saying in that the PAckers are better... soon he'll realize other teams are better too and the Lions have a lot of talent and a little luck to go wtih their record.

Wow are you arrogant.   My thought on the Packers have nothing to do with you or anything you have said.

But oddly you describe the Lions exactly how I feel about them,  alot of talent with a little luck.  Which make me think its a slip as you meant to say the opposite.

I am arrogant when it comes to the Bears. lol.

However, what I said about the Lions in that comment is the same as the last one you quoted. They are not a GREAT team. They are a really good team that has also had some good luck in a couple games. On Monday they played average and were pushed over the goal line by a weaker than normal Bear's o-line... granted Bear's o-line has been weak for a while now.

Fact is all these Lion's fans are getting setup for failure. YAY 5-0!!! and just like previously... no super bowl or championship of any kind... lol.

Can't wait to see you in Chicago next.

You know whats sad about people like you, you cant admit when another team is good, especially when it hurts your team.  The Lions are a great team,  just because a fan from a rival team cant swallow his pride enough to admit it means nothing.  The people who know football all say it.  You are what we call living in denial

Lions fans know what failure looks like,  and we know this team does not have that trait like past Lions teams do.  You are right we didnt win a championship the last time we went 5-0,  but we did the following year.  And Im fine with that level of progression.

The best Bears offensive line in the past 20 years couldnt block the defensive line of the Lions right now.  NFL Analysts everywhere are saying its the best front 4 in the entire NFL, some have even said it only second all time to the Steel Curtain of the Steelers.

Cant wait for the next Chicago game either,  you guys might actually be at .500 by then

I never claimed that they weren't a good team.  I just happen to think that they wouldn't be 5-0 if two teams didn't collapse.  You'll get half of what you want.

OK,  Well the Lions didnt beat the shit out of the Bears as bad I as expected them too,  but they still beat the shit out of them.   I can do half assed as well.

But they didn't beat the shit out of them.  The Bears led in most every stat but the score.  Unfortunately this included penalty yards.  I don't know why you're so pissed.  I admitted that the Lions are a good team and they did win the game.  The Lions are 5-0.  Cheer up.

Yes they did,and  the score is the only stat that matters,  but 2 other important ones they led in we Rushing Yards and Total Yards.

I'm pissed because you, like every other Bears fan,  tries to short change others accomplishments.  I have dealt with that shit for years living in Chicago.  Bears fans are some of the worst fans in the NFL that I have ever dealt with.

And I couldnt be happier with the Lions right now being the second best team in Football.

The Lions led in total yards and rushing yards barely because of that 80 something yard run.  But regardless of the reason, you are right.  The Bears stunk up the joint and the Lions took advantage.  By the way, this is not an insult.  It is actually a compliment (sorry you don't take it that way).  A good team takes advantage of there opponents mistakes.  Oh, and speaking of rushing yards, how did Matt Forte have much better stats against the Lions than greatest RB in the league Adrian Pederson?

What you you are saying in your second paragraph is really not called for.  Do you see me saying how bad Packers fans, Vikings fans, or Lions fans are because I don't care for those teams?  No you do not.  I personally think that all of the teams in the NFC North have great fan bases and sorry if you couldn't take being teased by Bears fans over the last several years because the Lions actually were the worst team in football.  About Chicago fans short changing others accomplishments, you don't see me doing that.  Am I saying that the Packers didn't deserve to win the Super Bowl last year even though I despise that team?  Nope.  Why?  They deserved it.

The Lions actually have the best record in football.  You really shouldn't make light of their achievements.  I actually think that they are going to beat the 49ers this week, but you saying that they are going to split with the Packers again makes me laugh.  I hope that you remember that Aaron Rodgers wasn't playing in the game that the Lions won last year. That was a pretty big factor, don't you think?

The reason it is still an insult is because you claim the Bears are the ones that were bad,  and not that the Lions forced the bad situations which they capitolized on.  As for Forte,  he had a good game.  But dont start thinking just because he rushed for more yards than Peterson did against us that he is better.  He is still the best RB in the league, Forte is a great RB,  but not at Petersons level.

My second paragraph was called for.  Sure It was a generalization of all the Bears fans I have dealt with in my life.  And being a Lions fan living in Chicago for the last 32 years,  I have run into my fair share of them.  And dont get it twisted,  Im not saying this because I dont like the Bears,  I am talking from experience  in dealing with these fans.  And actually Packer fans are quite pleasant,  Vikings Fans not so much.   And yes you did short change their accomplishements,  hence the reason for this arguement in the first place.

I have already explained this but,  Being that the Packers are the defending SB Champs,  and are also Undefeated,  the best record defaults to them.  Mostly out of respect.  Thats not making light of anyone acheivements.   My comments about the Packers games have alot to do with the situation of the games this year.  We play the Packers on Thanksgiving,  the Lions always play a little better on that day as it is special to us.  Plus the Lions knocked Aaron Rodgers out of the game last year,  so he still started and played,  he just didnt play the entire game.   And sure it was a big factor,  it was a momentum changer for us as we havent lost a regular season game since then.

I have to agree on the Lions and Thanksgiving thing, because I remember (hopefully correctly) a strong Packers team with Favre losing in Detroit like ten years ago. This is something that shouldn't be taken lightly.

I am glad that they kept the Lions on Thanksgiving (they've been a fixture on that day forever) since there were talks of the team being taken off of it a few years ago since the ratings for the games were way down.  It's a shame that the NFL was talking about it.

I don't know the exact pairings, but could it be that the ratings went down, because even the Lions' opponents more often than not happened to be teams not really worth watching? Two teams with negative records in the middle of November or not even a divisional matchup (am I allowed to use this word here?) certainly wouldn't scream "watch this game".

Actually, they normally would put the Lions against a really good team and people would think that they were going to get thrashed.  As Vetteman said though, the Lions usually play well on that day and the games normally were close.

Divisional matchup sounds American enough.  Good show!  *Wait, what did I say?*

The Bears aren't losing to the Vikings.

Vikings have no quarterback, and the Bears run D will contain Adrian Peterson enough so that Jay Cutler can salvage at least 17 points for them to win.

I agree,  The Bears are a better team than the Vikings.  But they will still have some troubles containing Peterson,  after last game the Vikings finally figured he can help if you give him the ball alot.
