lol maybe i used relatively too liberally. I played for one of the top high school teams in the country but I blew out my knee senior year so I couldnt keep playing. I played Rugby for the Irish national youth team before I moved back to the states and started playing football.

As for the Patriots beating the Broncos yes I do think its going to happen. The Broncos will be able to get pressure on Brady early on in the game however with most of our starting offensive line back and the threat of our two tight ends the broncos will not be able to crowd the box, and don't even mention dropping one of the safties in unless you want welker to kill you.  This will put all the pressure on the front 4 lineman. This combined with the up tempo offense that Brady keeps the offense in will wear down the linemen and limit the pass rush later in the game.

Hence I predict that early on Brady will get hit a few times and the game will be pretty close with Broncos even having a slight lead. However I think the Pats will get the lead going into the 4th quarter which will force Tebow to come from behind and play a style that he is not comfortable with or very effective at. And when I say come from behind I don't mean get to the 40 yard line and kick a field goal, I mean the pats will be up by at least 1 touchdown forcing Tebow to lead a sustained drive down the length of the field, and we know how that usually goes.

Thats my take on the game, feel free to share yours.

This is a huge contradiction. Out of Tebow's seven regular season wins, seven happened after the Broncos went into the fourth quarter with a deficit. So when you know how that usually goes, you cannot predict a victory for the Patriots.

The playoff game against the Steelers was the first time that Tebow's Broncos went into the fourth quarter with a lead and the six point overtime win was Tebow's win by the single highest margin this season.

I am going to predict a Broncos win, because a team like this which was written off several times and barely made it into the playoffs has already accomplished more than anyone, including themselves, expected from them. All the pressure will be on the Patriots, because they absolutely have to win this game.

Going to put up this week's prediction table now.

Thats why I added that last line that the Patriots will be up by over a touchdown. Most of Tebows come back wins have been a result of the kicker and not a sustained drive to the endzone. We saw what happened when he tried to drive down the field on the last possesion against the Chiefs.

Tebow was able to throw so effectively against the steelers because their deep safety was out due to sickle cell and Polumalu was playing that role. Polomalu is excessively aggressive and bit down on the play action way too many times leaving recievers with one on one coverage. Bellicheck is going to see that and make adjustments, you will not be seeing too much of that in the Pats game. Although the Pats defense is so diminished by injuries that we have freaking wide recievers playing as safeties so who knows.

The Broncos are last years Sea Hawks. They come out at home and beat a team that isn't even in the same league as them due to multiple factors combining to make the perfect sotrm. However the perfect storm doesn't strike twice and the Sea Hawks were easily knocked out in the second round and thats exactly whats going to happen to the Broncos.

I'm just going to finish with this. Patriots have only had 3 games where they scored less than 30 points and the Broncos have only had 2 games where they scored more than 30. Do you really think Tebow will be able to keep up with Brady when it comes to scoring?

Except that the Pats defense can not even defend the run so the Broncos might not even need to throw the ball as much as they needed against the Steelers...

They just need to play the same game they played against the Pats 3 weeks ago and stop fumbling the ball every possession in the second quarter..

The Broncos gained over 150 yards rushing against the Pats in the first quarter in the last game...

If the Pats make adjustment, Tiimie will throw the ball, if not, the Broncos will run all over them...

The real question for that game is going to be wether the Broncos can put more pressure on Brady than last time without keeping the Pats TE wide open ( every single time the Broncos blitzed 3 weesk ago, Hernandez was running wide open..)...

I wouldn't say that. He had to lead his Broncos to a lot of points against the Vikings. Against the Jets he finished a 95 yards drive in the final two minutes. Against the Bears, the Broncos were down by ten points. Admittedly, all of these teams had their own share of problems this season, but then again, the Patriots defense is among the worst in the league and the whole team didn't start well into their last two games (0-17 and 0-21).

But what it comes down to is that I want the Broncos to lose this game, so if I pick them, it's going to happen. I am willing to sacrifice my personal record for the greater good. There was only one week this season when I picked the Broncos (against the Chiefs) and they let me down.

Haha well I can't argue against that reason

You have to copy/paste table to be in. You can copy it and paste into the rich text box or just quote the last person to post it if its too hard or some other techical reason.

Ummm what?

McGahee only had 70 yards rushing against the Pats for that whole game.

The Patriots are ranked 17th in run defense, higher than the Broncos. Also while the Pats defense has been attrocious in giving up yards they are ranked 15th in points allowed per a game (again higher than the Broncos).

A number of key defensive players that have been out for the whole season due to injuries are finally coming back for the playoffs including Chung our safety and Mayo our Linebacker.

Finally do you honestly think that the Broncos are going to be running the ball when they fall back by 2 touhdowns to Tom Brady, I seriously doubt it. Not to mention the Broncos have absolutely no answers for either Hernandez or Gronk.

I don't make predictions like you suggested earlier because I have not been blessed by god like time Timbow.

If you remeber the regular season meeting the Broncos were winning in the 1st quarter and carried the momentum. The game only changed after 3 turnovers in which the Patriots got 17 points out of. From that point on, the Pats had all the momentum and they destroyed the Broncos. Great job by New England, but the fact still remians if those turnovers did not happen in such rapid succesion like they did the Broncos might not have been so deflated and possibly could have won,. That is a huge what if, but I see a much closer game this time if the Broncos control turnovers. It is not likely because the game is in your house, but the Broncos have been the team that has surprised everyone at some point this season. And because tebow is a clutch mofo and broncos fans believe he can get it done because he has so much. The fact is this man is a better passer than the last time you saw him.

Also you say the Steelers were missing a key safety well the Broncos were missing a key safey in Brian Dawkis too for the last game or two. So you can blame it on injuries all you want because every team has some at this point. Do not forget the Broncos won without their top reciever Eric Decker who was injured early on.

It will be a battle, but quite Frankly the pats are no better than the Steelers.
