I think it's time for Denver to start Tebow. Orton never has been that good, but he's really stunk it up this year. Say what you want about Tebow's accuracy, but in the games he's played (yesterday and at the end of last season), he normally scores a few touchdowns, which is certainly a whole lot more than Orton did yesterday,

The crowds booing of Orton was obviously getting to Orton vs San Diego. He never was the right man for the job. Josh McDaniels really made a poor choice trading Jay Cutler for Orton period. I was calling it a crappy call from the beginning. With Tebow having very strong support from the crowd, and the ability to make a lot of big plays I say it is worth giving him time to improve his accuracy to get a spark going. When your team is 1-4 and sucks and the teams city still heavily supports them it is time to make the change. Orton is not the answer for any team.

I really cannot imagine any player doing well under such harsh conditions of fan disrespect.

The Bears are such a failure. I didn't watch the game, but the stats are puzzling. How did the Bears manage to lose based on those? Solid pass and rush yardage, no turnovers, but only 13 points. I feel sorry for all the FIBs out there.

The Bears lost because they gave up the big play and they were doozies.  Their defense looks very old this year.  The Bear's pass yardage should have been much better.  Cutler played as well as any QB could have played.  As soon as he realized that his line wasn't blocking (which was nearly every play in about 1 second), he ran around like a chicken with it's head cut off, and would launch a laser directly into his receivers hands which would be dropped avery other time.  He also took several vicious hits and kept getting up.  Announcer John Gruden commented that Cutler was the toughest guy he's ever seen.  If I were him I'd demand a trade today.  Dropped passes have hurt his passer rating all year.  :p  Seriously, as a Bear fan I've watched QBs not be able to get the ball to their receivers my entire life.  Now we have a guy who usually gets the ball there and it's constantly being  dropped.  This is even worse to watch.

By the way, I'm owed an apology by Vetteman.  The Bears were not blown out.

But as a Packers fan I should try to sound like a Packers fan. Then again, I've never really heard anything positive about Wisconsin as a state or their people, so I better refrain from saying FIBs in the future.

I now watched the highlights and yes, the Lions had their fair share of big plays, including an 88 yard TD run. Well, the only way this game can be explained is that the Bears pretty much always started with bad field position. The team was able to move the ball quite well, but still only made it into scoring range three times (no turnovers, no missed field goals). So there must have been quite a few drives where they managed to rack up 30 to 40 yards and then had to punt the ball.

So what's the upcoming schedule for the Bears? An uphill battle or opponents that make it realistic to end the first half of the season with 5-3?

The Bears should have attempted another field goal but instead of that Lovie Smith decided to not go for it on fourth and 1 while the score was still 0-0 (they didn't make it make it) and lose two timeouts in the process.  One he lost while trying to draw the Lions offsides and calling a timeout with one second left and the other challenging the spot when it was obvious that they were at least a foot short.  I'm not a fan of our head coach in case you didn't guess.

The next three games for the Bears are home at the Vikings, against the Bucs in London, and at the Eagles.  I'll let you predict how it'll go since I feel currently like they are going to go 2-14.  :p

An apology you will not recieve,  I will not apologize for a prediction I made.   Cause its not like I will get an apology for you claiming that the Lions should be 2-2 and not the 4-0 they had earned and that the only reason they were there was due to other teams poor play.

I think out of all my friends I predicted the Lions' position last year. I was paying attention to the games they lost and they generally wouldn't lose by much at all and score ALOT, but it was really their defense that was holding them back. I remember telling my boss "watch, if next year they solidify their defense Detroit will be the team to beat because their offense is pretty monstrous." 1 year later and I guess I was right. Aaron Rodgers proves he is better than Brett Favre (so overrated) has ever been and ever will be. I called my Giants' loss based on the Vegas spread. Seattle was a biiiiig underdog and the whole world was taking the Giants by a blowout which was unsettling to me. On the bright side the Jets lost and hopefully little by little Rex, Sanchez,Holmes and Cromartie can STFU! They are not superbowl worthy and I pray they don't even make it to the playoffs this season because a team that talks THAT much shit deserves all the hate they get. Losing to the Pats was really the icing on the cake and I hope Brady talks smack about the Jets to piss them off more.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

Sure right after you admit you were wrong the Lions are actually a good team and deserve their record, and not how you claim as them being benefactors to poor play by other teams.

I never claimed that they weren't a good team.  I just happen to think that they wouldn't be 5-0 if two teams didn't collapse.  You'll get half of what you want.

I have to side with amp316 here. The Lions certainly have a really good team this year, but you can't really turn around a 24 deficit with less than a half left without the other team messing up. The Cowboys did just that. Instead of playing it safe and primarily running the ball and punting if needed, their QB threw three interceptions, two of them being pick sixes.

Suppose the Cowboys had played it safe, would the Lions have been able to score several touchdowns in a row and turn the game around, starting from around their own 20 yard line everytime? Maybe, but probably not, because they would have run out of time.

But that is the kind of team they are,  they are a passing first team. Plus there is such a thing as forcing mistakes with your own good play,  and with a defensive line like the Lions have they can do just that.

You can side with who ever you want to,  Ill side with the NFL analysts,  they all believe the Lions are the real deal.  And with the talent they got they can make things happen like they have been.

OK,  Well the Lions didnt beat the shit out of the Bears as bad I as expected them too,  but they still beat the shit out of them.   I can do half assed as well.
