Forums - Sports - The NFL Thread 2011: New York Giants Win Super Bowl XLVI

Hoping to see Oakland lose big to Houston. So far it is even. Raiders just threw an interception. Haha. It seem like the Raiders are only capable of field goals.

I have been watching too much rugby and talking unlike an American calling games a match is just ludicrous.

I would have made an NFL Prediction League thread, but I just don't have the time to actually run the league.

So are the Eagles this year's Vikings, this year's Cowboys, or are they going to turn it around?

They have a chance to turn it around, if they refrain from letting Vick throw the ball. As a running back on the QB position he is actually pretty good.

The Packers did well after a bad start yesterday. Took them a while to get going, but then very impressive. Both the offense and defense this time and it actually means something because Atlanta is usually very strong at home.

Yep, look how well Atlanta did in their home opener this year.

Be a little big more respectful. You shouldn't downplay the Packers' achievements all the time, because it just makes you look like a Bears fan.

This is probably true...

The truth is that I'm downplaying Atlanta.  Will people please stop calling Matt Ryan Matty Ice?  Worst nickname ever.

That one really is terrible.

Other things: It's hard to believe that the Colts lost yet again, especially after building up a big lead against the not that great Chiefs. Tampa Bay didn't really participate in the game yesterday, it seems. And the Vikings won, so your Bears better do the same.

Before the Colts game, I swore that I thought that this would be the game that they would win.  If they can't beat the crappy Chiefs, then who can they beat?  Maybe they are playing for the top pick.

Remember me telling you the other day that Tampa was a solid team?  Disregard those statements.  Seriously, what happened there?  Maybe the 49ers are better than we're giving them credit for.

The Vikings winning yesterday is irrelevant when it comes to the Bears.  They have to win tonight because they will be three games behind two teams if they don't.  The team that's one game behind them won't be the problem.

I think it's time for Denver to start Tebow. Orton never has been that good, but he's really stunk it up this year. Say what you want about Tebow's accuracy, but in the games he's played (yesterday and at the end of last season), he normally scores a few touchdowns, which is certainly a whole lot more than Orton did yesterday,

good game last night,i think that atlanta managed to make a mess of it after going 14 points ahead but that green bay quarter back looks to be one of the best i've seen in my limited tv games

the pundits on my telly said teh nfl were in the process of bringing another game a year to london which seems a bit odd,i mean why don't they go to another big city in europe if they want to spread the love
