Tebow's passing does seem to get better. Rivers is playing terrible and made several costly mistakes throughout the game. Denver's D is amazing, I hope they win their division.

Lucky day for Denver as they pull out another Victory. I agree insomniac that was a tense game the worst I watched in long time from that respect. Cheers to Denver!!!! I loved to see Elway on the field with a smile on his face.

Tebow did pretty well; I think is passing is getting better. There were a couple of passes that should have been caught but weren't. Still, I think that a ton of credit goes to the defense for holding the Chargers at 13. |
I wouldn't say he did well, so much as he had numbers that represented what a quaterback might have. Versus previously where his numbers were more "What kind of stats would a RB have at QB."
He was still pretty awful... but that's what is awesome about Tim Tebow.
He's the ULTIMATE inangible guy. Somehow finding ways to rally his team to win even though he's not even a competant quarterback classically.
Combine that with his strong views and external "To good to be true" comments where he actually puts it out there (like beign a virgin, god, actual charity work that he does vs a foundation etc.)
vs say Tiger Woods "He must be a good person because nobody's found anything bad"
and you've got what has to be the most frustrating and confusing player to modern sports... ever.
It's like Chuck Hayes ont he rockets who started at center when he was 6'6. Except 100 times better because Tebow is succeeding better against a harder shecdule then his predecessor with a style that often times doesn't even represent the position he's playing.

Well, I'm not going to defend some of his passes or the third down conversions, but I wouldn't say he played an awful game today. His passing was better, and had a few balls not been dropped, he could have had a couple more completions. His rushing wasn't fantastic (though there were a lot of plays where he rushed), but it helped get the job done in the end. I will admit I meant pretty well relative to his previous games though. :D
It's insane what he's done for the team. Like you said, he's clearly not the best QB in the league, but since he became the starter, Denver's been winning. But it's not just him; the entire team has been doing way better. I think that the effects he's had on the team are much more than just being a great QB on the field. It sounds kinda cheesy, but he's a leader. His teammates believe in him and want to play their hardest for him. He's a nice guy and he's always trying to improve, and his teammates see that. After having gone through so many seasons where Denver has been playing acceptable (mostly) but rather boring football, it's really awesome to see the team now. It feels like we're back in the '97/'98 seasons, even though everyone knows they have a long way to go before they get there again. That's where I think his real value is, and why I want to see him succeed.

He is a competent QB, he isnt throwing the ball into double coverage, and not turning it over. He might not have 300 yards per game but that doesnt make a QB competent. Rivers has all those yards and 17INT to go along with them. Id rather Tebow right now to make the right decisions.
Idiolizing athletes is stupid and people who hold professional athletes to higher standards than themselves are ridiculous. There humans and we are to and we all do stuff that we are not proud of, nobody is perfect.
Tebow has heart and you are right that he is the ultimate intangibles guy. He finds a way to win and there is no reason to not like him for what he does on the field.
Assuming I counted right Amp and I will tie for the week. A little surprised that all the games everyone agreed on the winner turned out to be so.
Wish I could have seen the Bears vs Raiders as I wonder if Oakland won a good game or the bears were horrible on offense without Cutler. Seeing as the Bears and the Patriots are the two toughest teams the Broncos have to face it makes my wonder. AMP? SuperChunk? Since I have seen the Patriots play enough I know what their threat is.
@Kasz I hope you have watched all his games to state truths like you said. Also saying he acts like a god is a little extreme and god do I hope Tebow does not marry soon and lose that virginity, perhaps the lack of pussy is what helps him on those intangibles.

made the wrong picks,
my game was pittsburgh v kansas, i fell asleep at 13-6 i think,it didn't change much, kansas didn't have an offence which isn't going to get you very far as ,good crowd though
what about a table for the league,2 points if you win the week predictions 1pt if you tie
Min 14 Atl 24 The Vikings are the same team with or without Adrian Petersen. A bad team. What other cream puff teams does Atlanta have on their schedule?
Cle 20 Cin 23 The Bengals are a team that definitely has taken advantage of their weak schedule and could possibly make the playoffs. They beat all of the bad teams (sometimes barely). Steelers next week.
Buf 24 NYJ 28 After a TD, Stevie Johnson reenacts when Plaxico Burress shot himself in the leg. In the process he helps shoot his team in the foot. Later he drops a perfect pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick that would have put them in a good position to win.
TB 17 Ten 23 Chris Johnson has 190 yards rushing for the Titans and keeps them two games behind the Texans.
Ari 23 StL 20 Beanie Wells has 228 yards rushing for the Cardinals. What is this thing called running the ball and why does it work later in the season?
Hou 20 Jac 13 Matt Leinhart is knocked out of the game and likely the rest of the year ( the Texans are snake bitten). 3rd stringer T.J. Yates finishes the game off for the Texans who show a lot of heart. They will have to finish the season with with either Yates or Kellen Moore.
Car 27 Ind 19 Sadly, this was one of the Colts better games. They still lose to a bad team. Their last game against the Jaguars is their best chance to avoid tying the Lions as all time losers.
Was 23 Sea 17 Rex Grossman leads the Redskins to a come from behind victory. He was great, then awful, then good again. Typical.
Chi 20 Oak 25 Some may tell you that Sebastian Janikowski was the MVP for the Raiders on this day. The truth is that it was Caleb Hanie, who threw 3 Ints and ended the game on an intentional grounding play. The Bears defense did a great job to keep the game this close. Right place right time for the Raiders.
NE 38 Phi 20 Tom Brady plays phenomenally in this game and the Eagles are well... the Eagles. Keep dreaming...
Den 16 SD 13 OT Tim Tebow is sooo good that he gets opposing field goal kickers to blow it. Honestly, I want a Denver fan to tell me that they weren't lucky to win this game because it would be a lie.
Pit 13 KC 9 The Steelers barely pull off a victory against the struggling Chiefs that had Tyler Palko as their starter. Not exactly a great performance, was it?
It looks like I will have the tie for #1 this week yet again. I will only have two losses unless the Saints lose. It looks like I was lucky yet again. No, maybe it was loco who got lucky that the Chargers choked in order for him to get a tie for #1 this week. I would like to point out that I have been in first all three weeks that we have done this and I am in need of a larger hat for my swelling head.

Well the same could be said about the Redskins comeback win against the seahawks, so some luck will always play into it. The word of the week is luck so go suck on your luck because San Diego got lucky they had two chances to win off the fieldgoal and missed them both. Poor call by John Fox to even give them a second chance after the field goal was blocked and he tried to ice the kicker. Once again I doubt people would challenge the win as being some luck, but they are really excited the team has gone from NFL bottom feeder to a chance to play in the playoffs.

Yep, it would be. We did get lucky. But the thing is, since Tebow became starter, the attitude of the team has changed. And now with a winning record for the first time since we went 6-0 (before ending 8-8), the attitude of the fans has changed. Can you blame us for being excited that, even though the team isn't the best, they're finally showing signs that maybe they haven't given up on playing football? Yeah, we've had a few decent seasons since Elway left, and sure Tebow has a long way to go. But we haven't had much of anything to be excited about since Elway left. And now we do, despite Tebow's sometimes awful play. So if we get excited about Denver winning, and marginal improvement in Tebow's game, you'll have to forgive us. He's made the Broncos exciting again.
