A demo for Microsoft and Turn 10's Forza 4 is now available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The download is currently only for Gold Xbox LIVE members and weighs in at 1.27GB.

In the demo you'll get to race around the Bernese Alps track, take a look at the new Rivals mode and test out the Kia cee'd, 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator, 2011 Subaru WRX STI, and 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO.

Forza 4 is due for release exclusively on Xbox 360 on October 14. Look out for our Forza 4 review on Thursday, October 6.

I'm not going to buy the real game but I'll download the demo. Could be fun. Should be done downloading by the time I finish my yard work.

I am with d21lewis,  not really interested in buying the game but wanted to try the demo anyway.

My impression after seeing all those screenshots, it didn't looked that much better(for me) but I can't say that after playing the demo,
their is indeed a jump in graphics that you will immediately notice if you did put some time in Forza 3,  I really liked the race in the alps the graphics and detail  gave me goosebumps ^^'.    I think Forza fans are in for a threat!

I read on Eurogamer that the demo should be available for everyone on oct 10.

I'm not sure if I should play it though, Forza 3's demo put me off buying that game.

I just did my first race in the Subaru with the AI on hard and a few assists on. 12 cars is a load of difference from 8. I got caught in traffic the first lap and the leader and 2nd place car broke away almost 4 seconds ahead of everyone. I ran them both down, passed the 2nd place car on the bridge coming out of the last corner. One more corner and I would've had the leader! Anyway, fun track and a great looking game! I'll probably preorder later today.

I'll give the demo a shot even though I wont be buying it anytime soon. I really enjoy Forza 3, but I'll just wait for them to release a Ultimate edition similar to 3.
