Something built to blow up with the intent of causing damage.

I see I wasn't the 1st smartalec to think of this. :P

OT: Anything that sells way below the expectation of the company itself, or is critically panned more than the company anticipated.

Jeez..2 pages full of repetitions

When a game fails to meet the expectations of the publisher

All what you said except for the last one. Not only when a game fails to meet expectations; it also tends to sell very very low, and then sales significantly diminishes.

Something that blows shit up. Duh >.

For me a game that bombs is a game that doesn't break even.

Otherwise it's just a game that underperformed.

Though I don't think I have ever used the term bomb TBH.

No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.

A bomb is any game where a game's costs greatly outstrip its income.

For me a bomb can be two things:

- The game loses money (doesn't make a profit)
or
- A highly hyped sequel that sells less than its predecessor

A bomb to me is a game that fails to make a profit. But since we don't really know if a game is or not I would say a game that sells less than expected.
