I know those are not , but I was using them as an example. Like the lost guys tv elimination thread. He is in there all day long keeping tabs and with in a week he is at what? 600 post! People do need to have only one thread though. Maybe the mods can lock them if people find another recent one that was made with in 2-4 weeks of each other?

@Mirson...I hate Neogaf. Moby games, and gamestop, and ign. (forums is what I am hating here :) the actual sites are fine, other than neogaf. Gamestop and ign good for reviews of everything, moby games good for information.

@Xen.....why not just use both? I am on Ew.com , ropeofsilicone, boxofficemojo, imdb, tvbythenumbers, etc. all day as well. Why do people think they have to just be on one or the other?

I like neogaf since the users there are friendly, passionate and answer your questions fairly quick. If you ask something here, you won't get an answer until four hours later. I also like that Neogaf has very little to no trolling or fanboys, as well as no annoying ads.

I'm on GameSpot right now. lol. They have a Forza 4 official thread which has reached over 70 pages. Where's our Forza thread?

Passionate!? ...

We don't have one -_-

It probably wouldn't even surpass 50 replys if we did. I would make it but I suck at making those type of threads.

Selnor should make it. His threads are very popular for obvious reasons.

I may have to tell him to do it!

From what I've seen, the only threads that get a good amount of posts here are sales, elimination game threads, flamebait, religion and politics. I learned that if you want to talk about games, you have to look somewhere else like Neogaf or even Gamespot.

Ugh. Yes.

I'm contemplating quitting each and every day, but I still have good friends here, which is why I don't.

Good friends and rivals!

I think that a lot of people in this forum play the system wars game, so exclusive games are praised much more than they deserve, and multiplats are ignored. Rage, BF3 and Dark Souls are multiplatforms, so those threads are going to get much less traction that they deserve.

The post above me pretty much nailed it. Those games actually don't interest me at all, to be honest. And without the extra spice of being exclusive to one console or another, they aren't the types of games that people can throw in each other's face (Like Forza, Gears, or Uncharted).

It's a sad reality of this site.

I blame one thing.
Removal of Sticky in individual forums.
People now looses track of the thread and it is never seen again, even if it was popular before the update.

And also, people put far less efford in threads. I remember the official SMG2 one, it had all the latest info, trailers, soundtrack and a lot of stuff, plus custom made sigs, avatars and daily quizes and contests. Or the original Skyward Sword thread, which had every single detail available (aka. few ) and had a really nice main topic, with lots of efford (made by the amazing morenoingrato )

Now, the one that just died was a bunch of copy-paste.

When the site splits, Sales discussion will all be on VGChartz, and gaming discussion will be on the new site (that will have Reviews, game database ect.) It'll be a lot more gaming centric and not sales.

Elimination threads are being cut down, and could be moved to off topic or their own sub forum all together if they're that much of a problem.
