The earth is not is the same location in space at any given time. The earth moves around the sun. So, considering that, if you time travel, and assuming it takes you to the same exact location, you'd end up in the middle of space and earth would be at a different place in it's orbit.

Time travel is possible. We are doing it right now....

Well first can we work out how we are going to timetravel? The way that we can currently timetravel (to not be technical and actually mean cahnge your position in time without worrying about the details too much) is by going really really close to the speed of light, meaning that clocks in our rest frame move more slowly than outside, meaning that our 1 hour could be years outside....

But this requires moving at the speed of light, so your position is going to change anyway relative to the rest frame, which in this case is the earth

It all depends on how you interpret time travel ...

If time travel is like teleportation from one time to another without considering motion in the other dimensions you would likely find yourself in an arbitrary point in space; on the other hand, if you are traveling through time and the other dimensions you would have no problem seeming to remain in the same spot while traveling through time.

I imagine it wouldn't be a problem because it would only be the same location relative to your frame of reference; i.e. being on Earth your time travelling would be subject to being 'pushed'/'pulled' with the planet/solar system/galaxy.

Hmm you forgot the movement from the sun around the central blackhole in the galactic center.

But you also made other wrong assumptions. First you are correct if you imagine a telephone cabin where you magically appear in the exact space you started from. But thats just phantasy and cant work. First its impossible to determin a static piece of room. Thats not real. Relativity says there is no static room. And if you think about it everything moves nothing is static there is no certain piece of room.

Everything that matters is your relative speed to other objects. And time travel can only be done moving (its impossible to stand still anyway. And if you have a lightspeed rocket you would have to fly circles around earth to reach future earth. If you would have one wormhole that leads to the future the end would have to have the same speed as the earth if not it would move away ofcourse and lead you to another part of the universe. You see a conflict where no conflict is because you think a determinable part of space exists.
