Just got Knight armour ^^, took me about 4 deaths because I kept cocking up on those slow soldier things.

More humanity usually means you get better resistances and do a bit more damage when you're in human form. Also, a larger amount of humanity also increases your chances of finding item drops from enemies, either if you're in undead or human form.

There's also a "Hollow" form, but I haven't been afflicted with it just yet. It seems it's only achieved by dying a lot without recovering your bloodstains and it's a pre-requisite if you want to join the Gravelord Covenant, but other than that I don't know much about it.

@Slimebeast - I've spent much of my game in Undead form. It's hardly worth going into human form, except if you got a large humanity number, which for me hasn't been the case. After losing 4 humanity once in Blightown, I just stopped caring about Human form and Humanity at all. I'll farm it from the rats on the Depths when I start going for items, but other than that, it's not worth it IMO.

I will add though that in human form you can be invaded by NPC black phantoms which can then be called upon to help you with bosses, which is kinda cool.  Only happened to me twice but it was interesting and got me drops from both invaders.

Yeah, Kirk on the sewers and Man-Eater Mildred on the swamps of Blightown correct? I got invaded by those two as well, but Kirk didn't drop anything for me unfortunately (he's supposed to drop the armour of thorns, at least that's what the loading screens say xD).

Iron Golem fell rather quickly to my halberd (each hit took 210 out of his HP). Managed to forge the Lightning Spear to +5 (got a trophy for it) and it has more Att than my BK Halberd to lightning weak enemies XD.

Edit - Amazing little details of the game: On the area with the Titanite monsters on Sen's Fortress, the ground is some sort of mud which slows down your movements immensely if you don't have the Rusted Iron Ring. The little detail is that each time you take a step in the mud it actually leaves the mark and you see your character sink a little. These are the little things that increases the immersion factor by a large amount.

EDIT: if anyones looking for titanite chunks, they're several(different types) of titanites in the great hollow(only way to get there is through blightown)

Congrats on taking Quelaag on the first shot! I only did it on the third try and she was the most challenging boss for me, so far.

It was Kirk and Man-Eater, but Kirk was in the area past Quellaag (sp) with all the lava.  He dropped a shield and sword which look cool but weren't better than what I had.

Hum, odd. To me he appeared on the Sewers. Did he had an armour that made you take damage if you touched him?

Don't recall, but he dropped a spiky shield and short sword so it must be the same guy.  Looked like it too.

Crap, I can't exit the Painted World of aramis without finishing it >_>. No heads-up, no questions asked, just examined a big, scary-ass painting and puff, inside I went D:
