Forums - Gaming - Wada: Final Fantasy XIV "damaged" Final Fantasy Brand

the way i look at it, is that Wada is the Bobby kotick of the east

Theres still a chance for it to be reviewed moderatly well with the PS3 release. but the brand was damaged way before that. try FF10-2, Dirge of Cerberus, FF13. and thats only what i can think of on the top of my head!

After FF9, the graphics and visuals started becoming and end rather than a mean. 10 is when they started taking out features in order to preserve the visual quality.

From initial reports, like the fact it's going to be one disc on 360 - FF XIII-2 looks like it's going to be really short.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

As far as I´m concerned, FFXIII did just that.

Wada publishes Call of Duty in the East :p

FFXIII didn't exactly help matters either. Luckily it's Final Fantasy and the damage isn't so bad that it's not repairable.

Square just Fork'ed itself right into the abyss, but yeah.. long story's short, i agree with almost all of the above. the only thing that keeps me there is the fact that they were the company that made that awesome games back in the nineties and early 2000's

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

Of course it did at it's current state.

They just didn't have time to do a lot of CGI so all the cutscenes are ingame, they said the game is 40+ hours without sidequests and will have far more side quests and a more open world to explore so probably the same or more actual gameplay.
