After a lot of thought and consideration. I have decided to go multiplatform and finally buy an Nintendo DS. I am still deciding on what model i will get exactly, but it will more then likely be the DSi model.

I am making this jump is for 3 main reasons.

Reason 1. As yall can now see from my new avatar, I am a huge Pokemon fan. I have Spent 100's maybe 1000's of hours playing all the Red/Blue/Yellow and Gold/Silver versions of it and after having a quick flashback of my childhood, I thought it was only best just to get the newer versions of them since i haven't played pokemon in YEARS. :(

Reason 2. I also kinda like zelda and i haven't played a zelda game since the N64 days (Was very young back then). Since Most Nintendo fans on this site are Mario/Zelda fanboys, I thought i should go ahead and retry the series as i have never fully played/beaten a zelda game before.

Reason 3. As many of you may also know. I am a HUGE JRPG fan and after looking at some of the DS's jrpg's, Many of them seem very interesting and lots of them got very good reviews/sales. With that said i will probably be trying out alot more JRPG's now. :)

And thats basically it. I MAY consider buying a Wii to play a little more JRPG'S. But as of now my PS3 has plenty that are taking alot of my playing time. :)

For those of you wondering if i am ever gonna get an Xbox 360. Well all i have to say about that question is.... HELL NO!!!

(P.S I still like Sony and i will always favor them over Nintendo and Microsoft. I just want to play the games i use to play when i was smaller. Which is why i am making this move.)  :)

Certainly a nice choice, that! It was the first platform I bought after my PS3 ;)

Enjoy it. For JRPG's, there is no single better handheld out there.

and congratulations on your purchase and i hope you'll consider a Vita for the third of those reasons cause Vita is hitting it hard with JRPGS.

i'll likely pick up a 3DS(and Vita and maybe a PSPgo for god eater) though and i guess even though its kind of known i went multi-platform during the summer with the acquirement of an Xbox360 but its not a full multi-platform experience i'll likely pick up a slim latter on next yr with the price drop.

Are you going to get GBA games? If not you might want to choose a 3DS instead of a DSi. There's not much of a difference in price and you'll get to play both DS and 3DS games!

I would like to recomend to you the 3ds. it is backward compatible with all ds games and that way you can play all ds jrpg and pokemon games and all future 3ds pokemon games.
