I hate to say it, but no, it can't.

3DS AR is fairly simple and doesn't really do much, maybe Nintendo could update it in the future.

exactly the ps eye showed off a lot of cool stuff in tech demos and we never saw any of it, even the move is suppose to do a lot more and it hasn't either. lets hope vita's games have better luck.
