3 Discs...?Thats sad next gen my ass ._.

I generally don't think of disc capacity as a "next gen" feature...Then again, CGI pointed out it is a 21 GB game.

Yeah, considering games in the PS1 era came on multiple discs, it isn't anything new. What's new is the fact that Sony opted to use Blu-ray for this gen, which means it looks that much better to be able to fit the bigger games on one disc. If they didn't use it, we'd be seeing the same complaints as with the 360, with multiple discs. Game sizes aren't getting any smaller, so if it needs multiple discs, then I don't see the problem, as it isn't a problem getting up and swapping discs. The only problem would be if you needed to do it every single time you wanted to go back to an older area (didn't Star Ocean 4 on 360 have this problem; I remember some game on 360 did), which doesn't seem to be the case with Rage.

Now here the problem with multiple discs people say its no big deal but, they are completly wrong. What happens when you lose one of the discs? You cant play the game to its full extent. You would hvae to buy the full game again because im pretty sure they dont sell the discs seperately. This is why when a game comes with multiple discs 3+ I buy it on PS3 less of a hassle.

Good god... use your brain sometimes, and tell me what happens when you lose the disc for your PS3 game ? OH MY GOD YOU CAN'T PLAY IT AT ALL !!!!!!

I lol'd

They better not use the GT5 installer, then it would take 90 minutes to install.
It's still at least a 20 minute install (8gb at max read speed of 54mbps)
There better not be a 1gb day 1 patch as well...

GT5 install is optional... it take 40-50 mim for full install (6.5GB) but you can select the smart install (it just install the data when needed... for example the first time you play one track it is installed in HDD).

This time is using the default 5200RPM HDD... the 7200RPM HDD is a little faster (35mim)... and the SSD is really faster (less than 20 mim... the loadtime is super fast too).

I want to put a SSD in my PS3 soon .

If you were smart you would know where i was going with my statement.Which is harder to lose 3 discs or 1?Meaning as like if I have 3 discs and I lose one I cant play the game fully.Whcih if I just have one its easier to keep track off.Now think before you re-post.

It would be better if PS3 had an option to do full install.
As it is now it has serious popup
" MegaTexture streaming comparison was done with default settings (8GB PlayStation 3 install/no Xbox 360 install). "

Also dynamic resolution scalling that is hitting PS3 version harder under load resolution drops as low as 640x720...
NeoGaf tests:
