4 million :O Not possible :(
Imagine Uncharted 3's lifetime sales if it did manage that though...6-7 mil?
god i sure hope so...BUT to be honest I don't see it happening.. my money would be somewhere around 3mil for the year

Pre orders can be funny sometimes...

Nice cherry picking of one game that was skewed because of a beta.
We all know vgchartz preorders can be wrong (and often are) but right now its all we have to go on for whats supposed to be good natured and fun estimating
Time for hype
I'm leaning more towards no but I do see it as a possibility.
IMO it will do 3.2-3.5 million by the years end.

He didn't say it's like Gears of War in sales, he said it has a similar hype (in conjunction with the brand). I would agree, as Gran Turismo is the PlayStation's equivalent to Halo, Uncharted is that for Gears, despite which one sells a million or so more. |
My point is the pre orders don't reflect Uncharted having similar hype as Gears. Not even in the ball park. It took Uncharted 2 over a year, price cuts, and bundling to reach the sales Gears 2 did in about 8 weeks. Clearly one had more hype.

I didn't cherry pick, just a random game that popped in my head. Infamous 2 and Socom 4 had simular pre order numbers as Uncharted 2 with modest sales thus far. Heavy Rain did great with small pre order numbers.
What does this mean? I don't know. But its hard to determine how a Sony game will do by looking at pre orders.

I voted maybe, heavily dependant on an agressive bundling push throughout the entire holiday season. If these conditions are met, yes, 4 mil then, if not, maybe as little as 2.9 mil. Metacritic score is irrelevant for a game of this caliber.
