Are you two 10 or something? Do you understand why the 360 outsold the ps3 in 2007?

The ps3 was at $599.99 HUGE dissadvantage, 360 at cheapest $299.99

The ps3 had not launched in OTHERS until late march

People were expecting the ps3 to be outsold by over a million this holiday season, who took the holidays the ps3.

Ever since the price cut the ps3 has been on par with the 360(even though it still cost more) now it seems that the playstation 3 's sales arent dropping of drasticly like the other video game systems(excluding the psp). If ps3 sales manage to just get a 100k dropp off and hold around that 300-400k sales for the whole month, 360 would drop below 200k and this would really kill the system.

Now I cannot predict the future so I will let you guys have your fun for now.

They didn't just win handily this week. PS3 is owning 360 in the hardware from launch chart on this site by about 600,000. Check it out:

Ps3 has been out 60 weeks so i set it to, well, 60 weeks. PS3 is up by about 600,000.

Besides the really significant point is not that the PS3 has been outselling the 360.

The significant point is that the 360 didn't outsell the PS3 with all its advantages this christmas.

- lower price
- better multiplatform versions
- Halo3
- Mass Effects
- Bioshock

And we should remember that before November there was NOTHING to play for the PS3 and it cost 600$.

So if they have not been able to destroy or at least significantly outsell the PS3 2007 they are in deep deep trouble 2008 IMO.

Yes MS can lower the price but the Arcade is already in price ranges where 5 games are more expensive than the total console. Sony still needs to come into the 300$ range.

And the game lineup 2008 is reversed. Sony has the big guns and MS needs surprises to keep up. They still have a chance they will have America for a while but it will be hard.

Yay my first disagreement While I agree with you about Sony keeping up, and even outselling the 360, it had to release several SKUs and price cuts just to keep up with microsoft, and considering PS3 is from the very popular playstation family, its amazing microsoft has been able to keep it at bay(until now that is).

Actually its 700,000 ahead of the 360 at the same time impressive to say the least.

YES, will.

1) PS3 price will get only lower.
2) PS3 will have more, MUCH more MUST PLAY games in 2008.

3) PS3 already doing better in Japan.
4) PS3 already doing better in Europe.
5) PS3 is going to do better in USA.

I dont know why people think PS3 is getting a price drop, sony is already bleeding with the 100$ price cut. That would be possilbe only if production costs suddenly went down or software sales are ridiculosly good.

x360 is going to have price cut in 2008. Atleast in Europe, otherwise, they will lose not only Japan, but and europe.
And if price cut will help, don`t be suprised to see MGS4 PS3 bundle .

And probably there will be a price cut before GTA4 release in Usa, i think both consoles could get 50$ price cut.

Sony still getting it`s 5-10$ from each sold PS2 game, just like with PS3 games. So you easy can sum up software numbers.
