The games are extremely divergent when it comes to importance of story. The only thing that makes them common is that they are competing for best TPS. I love Gears and don't get me wrong, but Uncharted is an experience. Gears isn't on that level in that way and the multiplayer is growing as the experience deepens. Theres also more room for more Uncharted titles.

Nope. Gears of War will most definately have a higher metacritic rating.

Gears 3 is a gears 2.3 only, nothing new, no better graphics, rBox is at 100%, not PS3, so Uncharted 3 will have more than 94 metacritics and probably the 2011 Game with the most awards.
Sorry pro M$, be realistic.

Both have pretty average strories IMO. I wouldn't give either a huge advantage in that department. Uncharted is just better at telling it's story than Gears is IMO. The most important thing in both games is gameplay. Both games excel in this department. I can't claim that either game is on another 'level'. Certainly not similar to your COD vs BF comparison.
