PSVita has PSSuite to stole some Smartphone gamers and stole some casual game for Nintendo with Sound Shape,Escape Plan and Little Deviants etc ans got gamers like PSP.

You know what? I can take a shit while playing Uncharted thanks to the vita.

And that's enough for me.

i see Nintendos mis-steps as a warning, if the market is tepid to a new DS, how badly is the Vita gonna do

- Missed a holiday launch in NA and Europe.........thus being behind in millions more when it finally releases, meaning itll be all the harder to catch up

- Has zero flagship system sellers even remotely on the level of Mario and its endless spinoffs

- Games in general are numerous, but few actually have names that make the handheld worth buying

- Consoles are one thing, but you NEED casual appeal to sell a dedicated handheld device. 3DS has it, Vita just screams "im only for core".......lots of casuals will be put off by that.

- price gap. value or not, its there and people will notice.

When your late to the party, your more expensive, you have no system sellers..........I mean cmon.

remeber big hits come out of nowhere (DOA, Final fantasy, and COD which before this gen only sold a modest 2m units ww) as do hits that become failure(rock band /guitar hero)so having system selles is not key to vitas success, but having IP that could likely be killer APPS is.

I personally think it depends on when the vita comes out. The sooner the better,in my opinion.

This should be enough to build serious userbase in initial months and after that it will depend on software library as it seems 3DS will be getting another software drought after Christmans is over.

Wrong

Check your facts

lol

of course sony is in trouble! anything with nintendo's name on it, is a casual gamers wet dream these days and casual gamers dont mind buying the same thing over and over again. all nintendo have to do is plaster mario's head somewhere on the box and its a system seller.

The vita is such a good deal even at 250 that it'll be fine especially with it's release games.

What mass market appeal does the Vita have in the west? none. It's going to have the same problem psp had. Vita in Japan is going to have trouble selling. That FFX HD port is still in development and i doubt it will move hardware like that gimmicky little deviants game. We've learned from the 3DS that games move hardware.

Call of Duty.

'nuff said.

Call Of Duty on a 5 inch screen?!?! yeh right dude. No one is gonna enjoy that. Try quickscoping on anything less than a 32 inch. Impossible.

Its a problem if your looking at a 5 inches screen from 1 meter away, but who would do that? I dont personally care about COD, but it will play just fine on a 5 inches screen being at a 1 foot and half distance.
