New Suikoden Announced for PSP

Konami announced today that it is developing a new entry in the Suikoden RPG series. The new game is titled Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki and is in development for the PSP.

The announcement came at a Tokyo Game Show stage event for tri-Ace's Frontier Gate. Konami quickly opened a teaser site for the game,

containing a trailer, which you can see here.

Konami also opened a Twitter account specifically for the game. Suikoden fans should definitely follow the account for the latest updates.

Whoa wait... a new title or just animation? Didn't see any gameplay. Pretty psyched for a new suikoden title! But PSP? Odd they wouldn't do Vita. Hope it reachs US shores because I own a PSP!!!

not familiar with the franchise much BUT i have seen a LOT of people (even on here) say they want a new Suikoden :D so this is great news.

chances are this will be localized on PSV ;)

If it's a mainline, AWESOME, but if it's just a spin-off like Tierkries, then good. I'm always up for any turn-based and story-driven JRPGs.

WHY OH WHY ISNT THIS GAME ONTHE PS3???? Suikoden is one of my favourite rpg series with the insanely huge number of characters you can play as. I still have Sui 4 & 5 for my ps2. Why cant these people (all the rpg makers) make ports of these games for ps3?
