I think we've beaten the reviewer vs. developer to death. Reviewers will always be flawed, developers will always be upset when someone critiques their work, the two are like oil and water.
Fortunately the important information from the reviews has been that gears three is undeniably the best in the series...so we can all be happy to know the game is of excellent quality.

I agree but the problem in this case is that the critique is actually positive.
In a perfect world, numerical scores and Metacritic wouldn't exist, and gamers would actually READ reviews.

Psst! Hey, Cliff...I'd have given the first a 6/10 and the second a 7/10....and contrary to popular belief, those ARE good scores in my book. a 6 is "worth playing" or "Decent", whereas a 7 is "Good",

I don't get it... sometimes a reviewer just doesn't like the game as much as others or think it's better then it's predecessors, Here in Sweden our biggest newspaper scored Gears of War 3 a 2/5 beacuse for him the game was pretty much like the last one and that it had a lousy story that could have been explained in three lines.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
