sega4life, only because I said that Microsoft brainwashes people with their marketing.

He unbanned you though, doesn't count!!

Their marketing is genious though

Unbanning me just added another moderation to my list, so if a mod just gives a quick glance to my moderation history it looks like I am one of the biggest offenders on this site. More than half of my moderations aren't for actual violations of the rules...

They have notes on your profile and have to look through your history. Plus as a long time member and generally well behaved member you're given the benefit of the doubt most of the time. You'll never be permabanned here unless you turned into some senseless troll or act like maverick

Psh, looking through moderation notes is for losers.  All instinct here baby.

And force of habit.

i pop in rarely these days to see if there's  any interesting game announcements. Outside that, I've pretty much abandoned the site after the redesign. 2.0 was bad compared to VGchartz 1.0 but the new format outright sucks to the point I cant tolerate it.

the flood of zealot-like PS3 fanboys didn't help things either.

And of course, I built a PC gaming rig that blows everything out of the water. =P

LOL

Off-Topic and random but,...

Your post makes me realize why texting/police online chat would never replace 911 phone calls when having an attack like seizures, or something mental. Texting/typing and seizures just don't go together.

That's my random thought for the day

Same as at first, to see the numbers (not discus them necessarily, but that option is not in the poll).

I originally came to the site for the chartz and the good writers. The forum was interesting and I liked the intelligent conversations which occurred. I also liked how on the forum people weren't as spiteful and bigoted as on other forums. As a Nintendo fan I wasn't going to get flamed out of town, as a Microsoft fan I wasn't going to get flamed out of town. I could also discuss most of my opinions on Sony maturely without being flamed out of town.

Today, the news articles blow. Many of the writers actually hastily attack users in threads and posts acting immaturely and unprofessionally. The users I once I was able to discuss subject maturely with (Sapphi_Snake, Rath) while I do still talk to them a bit are being replaced by anti-religious and prejudice jerk offs. Now of course myself and Sapphi and Rath have been in heated debates, however we never attacked each other directly. We respected each others opinions and usually (90% of the time) responded maturely.

So why am I still here, well despite the fact that the off topic board and some of the writing staff are extremely UN-proffesional and prejudice. There are still other good users like Galaki, Dr.Grass, Viper1 and so fourth. Not to mention while two of the writers here have proven to be extremely unprofessional and biased Smeags remains my favorite staff member, proving that most of the staff at VGChartz don't act this way.

Also the charts, VGChartz is still the best source for video games sales information. The news articles might blow but their is no other site online where a gamer can follow global sales up to the week. NPD isn't that informative anymore and publishers rarely mention sales figures outside of investor meetings.

So that coupled with the fact that I can still talk about games without the fanboys flaming me off the site and a good staff member or two. Plus a few good users. I am still here!

I come here to read every one of your essays Joel. :p

lol hey someone actually reads these? Suckers jkjk

Yah anyone who knows me knows I get alittle carried away when I write. I just tried writing a short response for Seece in another thread and it was still at least two paragraphs. Arrrg!

Guess thats why I am into writing, I may have poor grammar but nobody can deny I love to write.

I love debating and chatting with you too Choco, your one of the good users on VGChartz. Infact their are alot of good users on VGChartz and we can usually keep things pretty civil. Can't wait till our next encounter Choco!

Anyway, I come here obviously cos I do work here and love sales figures, and the few decent legendary users left.

Some PS3 trolls and Homophobic people let the place down but they never last long so it's not too much of an issue for me

Discussing sales, and the amusing posts of people I know/like.

I like sales data and discussions, and about the flaws, every site and forum has some, and I find the balance of VGC's qualities and flaws quite good, better than elsewhere.

Because its a unique site, with a great community.

haha screw the regulars.

No seriously, this is my main source of gaming news. It's got a little bit of everything and people make some good threads here. It's very organized too and the articles from the author tickle my fancy, even if everybody bitches and moans how the articles "are poorly writing and aren't intuitive enough" or some bull crap.
