so, I can't use my micro SDHC or SDXC cards, and I can't save my game progress unless I shell out extra money so I'm left with no choice but to choose 1 to buy no matter what..........

You can save your progress, you do it on the game card itself.

good, I'm guessing the number of saves is depended on the dev?

I am not sure about that...maybe. Maybe it will be autosave. I also heard that dlc and updates for the game will be stored in that card itself.

uh, I don't know about that, it's not like they'd know how many updates there'd be in a game, that'd be very restricting, but if save is not an issue, I'm OK with it.

Don't know who rumour it up, but dlc onto the game card is really retarded assumption.

Save games on the game card is a no brainer for non-disc, though. i.e. DS games

The memory cards are always listed as expensive. Sandisk and others will make them cheaper. It is kinda lame that they didn't do micro SD though

The embedded battery is dumb. Now it's like the iphone.

I still might buy it day 1 if wipeout 2048 is released with it though.

Interestingly, the cards themselves will reserve 5- to 10-percent of their total storage space for save data, game patches, and other updates, which will be less taxing to the NGP's internal storage and make continuing progress from one device to another easier.

where does it say DLC?

A friend of a friend told him that?

Guys don't forget Japan usually gets things more expensive than us, I mean, look at the prices of games, these prices will surely be cheaper once the Vita comes over to the west, there's no way they can justify these prices over here...

This is a point that everyone should know. If you look at the price of the vita, and translate it directly into dollars simply because the numbers are similar, then you're either dumb or purposely distorting the facts.

Sony memory sticks are 40$ for 16 gigs.

is this card faster than current cards? I hope so.

Nah, Sony told me that. Although I guess you'll argue that "DLC" and "add-on game content" are different things?

If it already serves for save data and game patches, then what is the meaning of other updates?
