going from a higher battery life console (ds) to a much weaker one (3ds) vs. going from one (psp) to one with similar battery life (PSV)...I will let your genius self do the math behind the complaints

and btw if you are looking for that crowd, most of them are in the ninty forums ;)

it's kinda sad the way some of you are reacting to this, sony have always said this will be the range the battery life will be...even before E3! so pretty much everyone expected as such...so yeah.

Bring on FFX portable!!!

I hope sony makes it so that if you buy the ps3 version you get the ps vita version free, thats the only way this system will be a success.I hope they take a page a valves book and realize that giving out a free download of a game on another system will far outweigh the value of individual sales in term of pr and market acceptance.

It's not a launch title for Japan. It's in the launch window for the PSV in Japan. Click the link and you will see all the games in development for the PSV. I think wipeout will be a launch title for the west though.

This doesn't look so good. According to Kotaku, 3-5 hours is with no network play, headphones, and no bluetooth. Wifi/3G is a battery sucker, so the battery life will be a lot lower. I expected better, but it could be worse. Hopefully Sony will release some kind of battery expansion pack.

So it might be even worse then the 3DS battery then...A good battery may not have been expected (it should be!) but it still sucks.

Both Sony and Nintendo really needs to step up and fix their damn batteries. These are portable consoles for crying out loud!

3-5 hours probably means more towards 3 than 5. If you have the brightness at maximum and you're using the network it may be 2h.

I'm gonna wait for reports after it launches. Otherwise I may wait for a revision. Regardless, I still think it's an achievement that such a powerful device lasts that long...

And Michael Jackson: The Experience? Who the f*ck wants to dance on the go? Lol, I can imagine people dancing in the underground (subway).
