I'll start with my top 3.

1. J. Edgar(2011)

2. Game of Thrones Season 2(2012)

Kings, queens, knights and renegades use schemes and swords to battle for the throne.

3. Django Unchained(2012)

A slave-turned-bounty hunter sets out to rescue his wife from the brutal Calvin Candie, a Mississippi plantation owner.

It has even better scores on metacritic. It's pretty boring for the most part though.
