welcome back

i look at it like this how much does real life change unless you change it? how much does war change? can you yourself create a change on the battle field while playing online?

so many gamers get these war games, get online and look only to kill with no strategy wht so ever, so i think its mostly the way we play that never changes.

look at MAG and wht it set out to do! Socom 4 may suck but MAG was to ambitious for its time considering wht zipper was trying to do.

COD never changes but if your not observant you won't see the change in many other games either.

story has been the biggest part of any game for those who don't skip cut scenes, but wht is the real change gamer are looking for?

wht other games consist of the same concept time and time again? when you tink about it the only difference in FPS's are wht they try to accomplish and nothing more!

we can sit here all day and debate that our favorite games have made more changes/leaps and bounds over others but the only way to really tell is to sit the dev down and ask wht it is they tried to accomplish, whts significantly different about the game from its sequal, and others the rest in that genre and then you'll have the answer's you seek cause as gamers that judge everything gaming all day every day we don't know.

where in gods name is CGI and Seece when you need them?

hey i got an idea! lets wait till next gen to see wht a few gigs can do to change our gaming experiance as dev's currently don't have all the tools they need from current hardware to acomplishe wht thye want.

no there no change in COD they'll continue to copy and past as the billions of $ in cash continues to roll in.

I like the Modern Warfare series, a release every 2 years is absolutely fine and there is quite a difference between each of the games. As for Modern Warfare 3, it is looking a little bit too similar to Modern Warfare 2, lets hope they change it enough to make it enjoyable and not the same game I bought back in 2009.

wouldn't a "Tales of" video be similar?

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

This subject has been beaten in....

But to play devil's advocate, you can't deny the result.  Black Ops which is the 3rd (or 4th if you count World at War) COD4 game is their biggest seller by a good margin.  Why make changes?  Also, what's baffling to me, although there seems to be subtle differences between MW2 and Black Ops, Black Ops is an inferior game to MW2 but Black Ops has substantially outsold MW2......

have you ever considered that BLOPS beat MW2 because it is the better game. B LOPS has more modes, Spec Ops sucked. THe MP is more balanced. THe story at least made a hell of alot more sense and didnt give you some to be continued crap

True blops didn't look as good but it did have more balanced multiplayer and a lot of value when seeing how many features there are.

Also, there's no denying how much content you get from cod, there's not many other games that match it in terms of pure value. Althought the basic gameplay remains the same, which is why people buy COD, if you look at what they did for each iteration they add in tons of balancing/multiplayer tweaks as the community wants and new modes to keep the game from becoming irrelevant.

Welcome to ... alot of game series....

If you don't like them, don't buy them. If others do, it's not gonna kill you.

4 ≈ One

Yeah I agree with you and say not much has changed with the Call of Duty games. However, with the sales that these games are getting I'm sure Activision is asking themselves why change a winning formula. If the fans continue to buy them and that's what they want then does change it too much. Until there is a real drop in sales, I don't think much will change with the games.
