Meh it changes enough to keep things interested. Plus Infinity Ward games don't play at all similar to Treyarch games even though its the same core gameplay mechanics. So its only "the same" game every other year.

Its not like Battlefield revolutionizes every installment. Bad Company 2 was a carbon copy to Bad Company 1. And while Battlefield 3 is on a new engine the gameplay looks the exact same to a non-fan of the series.

I do agree CoD is in need of another major overhaul (like CoD4 was compared to CoD3) but I don't think this series deserves all the flak it gets.

The problem isn't the game (for the most part) its the community of 12 year old whiners and people who exploit overpowered guns, killstreaks and perk combinations. Besides not adding dedicated servers (no idea why besides greed/laziness) they are doing all they can to make the series better.

Is it really the communities' fault when the company caters to that crowd? They know that a large portion of their sales come from underage boys, so they purposely include crap in the game to keep those "12 year old whiners" addicted to the series. This has become a clear, unspoken business practice of IW/Treyarch since CoD4.

I have no argument for that, you're absolutely right. CoD4 was amazing because it was so simple and didn't cater to 12 year olds. I wish they could go back to that.

As for the comparison video though, I would say:

- CoD4 stands out the most because its the oldest, but actually looks just as good IMO

- MW3 looks the exact same as MW2 but just slightly sharper and a bit better

- Black Ops looks worse than MW2 IMO, it looks terrible.

Hopefully the next IW CoD game MW4 (or whatever they call it) has a new engine and dedicated servers. That is, if the CoD series isn't dead by then.
