After serving yet another unexplanied ban. I wanted to show a video i made a while back on youtube of me explaining why "Call Of Duty" has not change over the years in is still the exact same looking game from 07'.

(Note) I am note trying to hate on COD or flamebait anyone who loves COD games. I am just saying that i dont see any difference at all in the COD games that activision brings out now.

I know all COD games bring and take away a few features on each game that is released. But overall to me, It is the exact same gameplay, same graphics engine, and same story.

Do yall see any difference on the quality of any of these games cause i dont.

Let me know if yall do.

I have to say COD4 looks graphically inferior to the other 3.

You could probably pick some random Unreal Engine games and say the same thing. From 07 to 09 during the first half of the gen you can see improvement, then from 09 to 11 it's mostly flat.

Now that I've written that down: UC1 (07) to UC2 (09) quite a difference, then to UC3 (11) nothing.

I've always thought these games seemed the same...

But to play devil's advocate, you can't deny the result.  Black Ops which is the 3rd (or 4th if you count World at War) COD4 game is their biggest seller by a good margin.  Why make changes?  Also, what's baffling to me, although there seems to be subtle differences between MW2 and Black Ops, Black Ops is an inferior game to MW2 but Black Ops has substantially outsold MW2......

Black Ops added online splitscreen. That warrants a purchase for me.

Other than that, they've all been quite similar.

One thing I do love about Call of Duty though is the four player splitscreen. There's not a lot of games with decent gameplay that allows you to face off againts three other buddies on you couch.

here... why don't u post a video comparison between Call of Duty 3 MP and the MP from Uncharted and see how many comments you get about which one looks worse.. which one is pushing the envelope. I promise you that Call of Duty trumps Uncharted in this regard.
It gets really, really annoying listening to people bash Call of Duty. And believe me, I'm not their biggest fan by any means, but the game is still one of the best looking, smoothest running, feature packed games out there.
Has it occurred to you, as far as the envelope goes, that you can only get so much in there.
Duh!
I mean, what exactly is it you expect.... nex-gen graphics?
nex-gen AI?
a nex-gen experience.
Whether you want to admit it or not, for what Call of Duty is and however you choose to catergorize it, it's arguably top 5, and definitely top 10, for whatever individual elements you'd like to examine.
Be it graphics
AI (which might possibly be the best out there)
Immersion
Value
or pretty much anything else you'd like to bring up. Story, I'll argue that with you too... it's an action flick, how deep do you really need it.
I'm probably not going to pick it up right away, as I'm sorta Call of Duty'd out.
But, I'm not so jaded on the gameplay, or resentful of Activision, to start ignoring the obvious and write the game off as a has-been.
Don't like it, don't play. There'll be someone to take your spot anyway.
Now... when the nex-gen rolls around and the game hasn't changed in any dramatical way.... then you'll have a point.
Certainly not now.
I think the envelope is pretty full.

As long as Call of Duty fans are happy with this I see no reason why Activision should change anything.

have you ever considered that BLOPS beat MW2 because it is the better game. B LOPS has more modes, Spec Ops sucked. THe MP is more balanced. THe story at least made a hell of alot more sense and didnt give you some to be continued crap

There are differences...they're just not worth giving $60 all over again.

When its making money, why would Activision give a fuck?
