High quality video comparing the recently revealed console port footage of Crytek's Crysis 1 against the original Crysis running on a high end PC with maximum graphical detail settings enabled.

I know it's just a youtube video but damn it's closer than I would have thought!

It's fine for a console. The 360 isn't exactly a beast, though performance wise it would be nice to see another re-release of this on the 720, or if the 720 had the option to boost performance of old 360 titles.

It's just that simple.

less trees then in PC crysis but damn this looks great!

Anyone else notice how strength mode is always active in the trailer? I don't think it any other mode was ever active there :x

Crytek always make games look amazing from a technical point of view but they always screw up the motion blur, the lighting, the shadows, the brightness or the colour scheme.

The original PC version looked very bland and unrealistic but it had the potential to look so much better. Crysis 2 was complete overkill, it strained my eyes and looked a mess.

Hopefully they get this right, from the looks of it so far they have nailed the outdoor lighting (although the plane scene looked horrendous...grey sky...seriously?) The grass look a lot better but a little too bright for my liking.

Exactly my view on the graphics in Crisis. Other people would use the Cry-Engine so much better than Crytek.
