I agree with you and I see no reason for their to be anti-religious or pro-religious threads in Off-Topic. I think VGChartz should either dedicate a board to Religion or maybe create another forum and site where people can discuss these things as the market is obviously here.

However I think the real crap that needs to be stopped is religious attacks. Atheists attacking religious people and religious people attacking atheists. Mod's should be trained to deal with religious persecution far more strictly then they do. I mean a lot of stuff said by many members and even a writer have been borderline persecution. Its okay to have a view but the second you start imposing that view on other users, insulting the users and trash talking their religious beliefs. That should be dealt with.

Also I gotta admit that about 90% of all the religious topics on VGChartz are of a hostile nature towards either religious users or Atheists. Fact is their are extremists on both sides who will stop at nothing to really piss off those who believe differently. They get some sort of sick satisfaction attacking people who believe differently.

I think the issue of persecution and extremism is far more important then ceasing all religious discussions!

but to your second paragraph; And to quit posting in the Off-topic secion about subjects that i'm interested in on an internet forum which is literally defined as "an online discussion site where people can hold conversations" just because little old you is tired of seeing a thread title that she doesn't have to click on and is in full power to filter out of view forever: why should i?  why should anyone for that matter?

like i said above, petition brett(ioi is his screen name, site owner in case you don't know) to make a religous sub-form.  but don't try to tell me or anyone else what they can/cannot discuss.

I'm not offended for that matter. It's just that the point of ignoring the Off-Topic section is as bad an argument as mine might be. Funny, but not very good.
I do admit that this is a game site alright, so you got a point there. I just don't think that, for that matter, there should be so many threads about the whole Religion stuff because there might be no subject that divides and offends people as easily as this, not even politics. 

Thanks for the advice, anyway. I might be stubborn and have my gridlocked opinion about this subject, however I'm open to suggestions like yours. Especially because I'm new to all this and exploring everything on one's own takes more time than I can spare.

LMAO, no. This site and the maturity level of it's members cannot handle the topics as has been made clear many times over.

This is a gaming site, and while we have an "OFF TOPIC" forum, there is still no need for allowing subjects that just cause needless, immature, hateful, and otherwise detractful experiences to the site.

Gaming news has been getting thinner and thinner as the generation has gone on, and with the emphasis of VGC moving away from sales (it seems), the attentions of the users have to move somewhere. Off topic provides that.

How odd that I've never seen an atheist complain about that.

On a more serious note, from my experience, most people in those threads behave fine. It's only a few who cross the border into being downright offensive, and they are on both sides.

Ugh, completely agree but mainly because I'm tired of seeing reports on the subject.

Anyways, this thread doesn't belong on gaming, feel free to make it in off topic and bitch to your hearts content there. I'll agree with you but can't do much about it at the moment. ;_;
