Can Disney beat Universal's record 2015 domestic gross - $2.445 billion?

It will fall short of tha... 4 13.33%

Finding Dory, Doctor Stra... 20 66.67%

It's going to be very cl... 6 20.00%

Total:30

TDKR made $19.5m on Monday which is 1m more than the Avengers did on it's first monday.
But kids were still in school when the Avengers came out so no way TDKR will have legs like the Avengers.

This weekend will determine legs...actually pretty much Friday will, we'll have a good idea at where TDKR will actually end up for its total gross from this Fridays numbers alone.

There are a lot of other logistics involved with school vs. no school. Even if parents work during the day, a family will be less inclined to go to the movies in the evening if there is school because of home work, after school activities, gotta get up early in morning etc...

If there is no school you have less obstacles and thus, even if parents work, you can take the kids out without worry of certain things.

Also on the new 2nd weekend poll, there is an option for "over $100 million (new record)". The thing is TA did $103,052,274 on it's second weekend. So even if TDKR did over $100mil (say, $102mil) it still would not be a new record.

It would be the highest 2nd weekend EVER in terms of admissions .

Things aren't looking good. The copycats are ruining every chance this movie has to pick itself up.

Oh OK. I didn't know admissions were now being factored into the poll.

Seems like it might have an affect for quite awhile.
