Domestically it has a very good chance of making more then Titanic (just a bit more then $100 million to go).  It just is not going to make as much as Titanic overseas and world wide.  The next Star Wars has a chance to make more then Titanic since it will not have a lot of other competion during its theatrical run.

SW overtaking Titanic isn't happening either.

Well it has a decent chance the two higest grossing movies of all time Titanic and Avatar where both released in December.  Being released in December means it will have at least two month without any major competion since the majoriy of pictures released by all major studios in January and February are not very good and usually don't have a big budget.  Looking at the movies released in January and February the only two movies that can seriously hurt the new Star Wars legs are Kung Fu Panda 3 in January and Zoolander 2 in February.

I'd expect some more in-depth analysis from an user named Lawlight. Saying that with a sense of certainty is at the very least unjustified. If JW's performance is anything to go by, SW has very high chances of surpassing Titanic, due to factors such as: its fanbase is even more loyal than Jurassic's; it's a more popular franchise; its marketing will be at least as good as JW's; it will release in the month of December.

I really hope Jurassic World will still be playing in theaters for at least 150 days like the other 3 Jurassic Park films.

The first Jurrasic Park movie more then likely had the longest domestic theatrical run in the last 30 year it almost stayed in theaters for 500 days.  Its first theatrical run was 497 days from June 11, 1993 until October 20th 1994 in that run it made $356,763,175.  It also was rereleased in 3D in 2013 that run lasted 49 days and made $45,385,935.  Another Universal Picture that also had a very long theatrical run is E.T. it almost ran for a year its first run was 364 days from June 11, 1982 until June 9, 1983.  Plus it got rereleased twice in 1985 and in 2002.

It seems Inside Out might actually take the crown with updated estimates having it on top now. Unfortunately both JW and IO went down with the updated estimates with no film grossing over $30m in the last weekend. Inside Out at 29.7m and JW at 29.m. I hope they reach 30m in actuals. Both are just less than a million away from reaching $30m. This July 4th weekend is horrible. I wonder if movies are going to jump up this weekend. I hope JW still makes $20m.

They both ended up ahead of 30 million but Jurassic World still took #1.

Flixster was still using Sunday estimates then. Now it seems they've finally updated.

Well since it got adjusted down it took JW a extra day to pass Avengers: Age of Ultron world wide but it did it with Mondays numbers. Box office mojo needs to update their numbers for Furious 7 its still playing in discount theaters and they haven't updated it since June the 18th.

Actually no, It got adjusted down domestically but the actuals for its international gross last weekend got adjusted up(from $826.9 to 828.3)which pretty much placed its total gross back to $1385b which is above Avengers AOU.

Good news, the numbers.com has even more up to date international numbers they have it $833.5 world wide and its already ahead by a little more then $10 million of Avengers Age of Ultron on their list.
