Star Wars will reach that kind of money in about a month.

Proud to be a Californian.

There are many things to consider, such as inflation and box-office development in countries like China, but Star Wars, even at its peak of popularity, didn't cross the $1b mark. I am convinced that this time it will, though I am not sure about $2b.

Actually The Phantom Menace did make over a billion world wide.

But that includes the numbers from a couple times it was re released also.  I'm also not sure about the next one making $2 billion but over a billion is pretty much guranteed.

It won't. People said the same thing about AoU.

I don't think Star Wars will beat Furious 7 either, allowing Furious 7 to win the year.

Anyone else amazed at the Age of Adaline boost? Now I did not check for screen increase, so it may not be as interesting as I think.

What boost? Monday-over-Monday? It was an average holiday boost, with no screens increase.

Furious 7 is now past the $1.5 billion mark.

Did anyone see San Andreas? I've always had a phobia of earthquakes but it looked entertaining.

San Andreas did pretty good did better then the last movie with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as main actor Hercules.
