Ugh, the newest Transformer movie is on pace to become the highest grossing domestic movie of the year so far. Speaking of the highest grossing domestic movie it looks like The Lego Movie will hold the top spot for couple of more days pretty good for a movie that was released way back on February 1st.

Captain America actually beat it already this week. It's now the no.1 top grosser of 2014. Lego movie is 2nd.

Yeah, it finally did it this week but sadly the top spot will be taken by the newest Tranformer movie in a couple of weeks and it looks like it will easily make over $800 million world wide also.

@ chris about the Comedy Western

Agree, had no chance even if it was funny. Would have done a bit better in the West though if it was at least good.

Transformers continuously doing well makes me sick.

Me also and its by far the worst one in the franchise so far.  Never saw any of the previous movies only saw bits and pieces of them and really have no interest in actually watching any of them the whole way through.

You shouldn't really say it's the worst in the franchise if you haven't seen any of the previous 3. Bits of it doesn't count. For me it's the most spectacular(visually) and most fan service-y transformers yet which is why people are seeing it by the millions. It's literally like one of those visual theme park rides in Disney world or universal studios when seen in IMAX or 4DX.  It's the 2nd worse(in terms of plot and stuff) after Revenge of the fallen, though.

Well I alreay said that I have no plans to ever watching any of them so I will never truely know if its the worst movie of the franchise but going by two of my favorite YouTube review channels What The Flick and JeremyJahns it the worst one in the franchise.  Also I'm not a huge fan of product placement and now having product placement for Chinese products on top of the usual American products makes it even worse then all the previous movies.

Transformers still dominating.

With a little over $219 million box office Transformers 4 is now the highest grossing movie of all time in China so it looks like not only Americans have bad taste when it comes to movies.

It's not over TF3 considering the marget growth yet, though.

"Meanwhile Rentrak’s senior media analyst Paul Dergarabedian told The Post that China is forecast to pass the US as the largest film market in the world by 2018."

2018, already(!!!), i wonder if they predict stagnation or even decline of US BO in the coming years, because this is very likely scenario in the developed markets(because of the VOD and everything), if there won't be revolution in cinemas, after the developing markets peak, whole WW BO will start to decline(that might happen in less than a decade).

Nintendo 2018

English is not my native language.

Dawn did pretty good on its opening weekend. Sad to see that Transformers 4 is already the highest grossing movie world wide this year and will easily make a lot more then $800 million. It will easily make over $300 million just in China. Sure hope its legs will at least fall off pretty soon so that it can't get to a billion.
