Can Disney beat Universal's record 2015 domestic gross - $2.445 billion?

It will fall short of tha... 4 13.33%

Finding Dory, Doctor Stra... 20 66.67%

It's going to be very cl... 6 20.00%

Total:30

That's better internationally for Dragon 2, but a bad domestic drop, this won't make anywhere near what the first did in NA.
But, but, first one had 3 biggies ending its run: Shrek, Toy Story 3 and Despicable Me, nothing like that is coming out until November...

Shrek opened in the first films 9th weekend, by which point it almost every film makes almost all its money anyway, the seconds drop this weekend was far worse than anything the first had until that 9th weekend, and 2nd week drops are far more  important than 9th week drops.

I know, but that's the animation we're talking about, what animation "like that" children are going to watch in theaters? I'm not saying that it'll catch and surpass the first one, but $200m might be possible.

The World Cup is kinda hurting the box office that being said 22 Jump Street will easily make more money then the first movie did.

I thought the first one was pretty funny liked it a lot more then Ted.  Will watch this one eventually.

A Million Ways to Die in the West is just  not that funny and on top of it its a Western.  The only way a not so funny comedy makes a ton of money is if its not a Western also.

22 Jump street is doing really well! ^ I am not surprised with how good the first one was. Well not really good, but it was funny.
Jeremy Jahns said that the plot is basically the same though, but he still laughed his backside off!
Frozen is finally done, but 400 million is a nice milestone.

Not yet in Japan! It's still number 1 in the box office for the 15th consecutive week! Not to mention it's now  the highest grossing film of all time in Japan history.

Frozen has/had crazy good legs probably best legs of any movie since Titanic.

Ugh, the newest Transformer movie is on pace to become the highest grossing domestic movie of the year so far. Speaking of the highest grossing domestic movie it looks like The Lego Movie will hold the top spot for couple of more days pretty good for a movie that was released way back on February 1st.

Captain America actually beat it already this week. It's now the no.1 top grosser of 2014. Lego movie is 2nd.
