The Lego Movie will make boatloads of money pretty soon since it only had a $60 million dollar budget. Also its one of the highest rated animated movies in years its higher rated then any animated movie of last year. Both audiences and critics love it 8.7/10 on imdb, 82/100 metascore and 95% fresh on rotten tomatoes. I definitely didn't see that one coming since most movie released during January and February are usually only mediocre at best but mostly terrible.

With another 30 million this weekend...Frozen could make it to a Billion! Amazing!

Is it really that good, or is it just the perfect combination. Princess, Funny snowman, lots of snow, whatever else?

Not at the dollar show here yet, so it has some time in America as well.

Also still waiting for Gravity.

It will make significantly more than a billion, it hasn't even opened in Japan yet.

Frozen actually looks really good. Will still try to force my kids to wait until it hits the dollar show, but you know how they are...

I am sure it will shoot well past 100 million domestically. Maybe even 200 million.

Actually it looks like it is headed to around 250 million. Tangled did 200 million and this is doing better so far.

You said maybe 200M, I said around 250M...

So technically I was closer...

Yes it's really good and the songs are marvelous but it really depends on you if you're into broadway musicals and Disney animations. If you decide on watching it in cinemas, try watching the sing-along version haha.

It's a combination of being pretty good and being released at the right time I doubt it would have made that much if it would have been released during the summer but that wouldn't have been possible anyway since Disney had Monsters Universary released during the summer and studios never release two movies that are direct competition in the same category closely together.

Frozen now has $579m in foreign market!
Going over $600m in foreign market will be easy. Now let's see if it can go over $700m.
Domestically, it's heading towards $400m.
Wow, can it go over $1.1b globally? Amazing.

Lego Movie is a hit, but not so much in the foreign market. The movie was really good.

The Lego movie was the perfect kid's movie but it's overall theme was universal. It was wonderful. Although most of it's humor will go unappreciated in other countries and will probably be the cause of it not getting really big internationally. It's a flop in South Korea earning less than a million dollars in 11 days.

At least Lego Movie will do  well in N.A, and Europe.   The earnings in S. Korea is hard to believe.  Koreans don't play with Lego?
