My mistake it was 16.3 M not 18.3. Sorry.

Based on Saturday 10:15 p.m. estimate from Yahoo.
The bad news is that Grown Ups 2 made more money then Pacific Rim over the weekend. The good news is that Pacific Rim made more money overseas and it still hasn't opened in any Asian markets where it will make a lot of money.
I was so pumped as group together to see Pacific Rim!
Then...they all want to see it on iMax 3D. Ugh.
Still the film had enough awesome robot v. monster moments to overcome those glasses. Cannot wait to see it in 2D in the future.

Sometimes film audiences really leave me at a lost.

I still have a strong feeling that in the long run Pacific Rim will make more money domestically then GU2 and its already well ahead of it overseas. Word of mouth will not help GU2 legs but will help Pacifc Rim's box office a lot plus on top of that it will make a lot more money in its post box office life also.
Look at Sundays box office it was barely ahead. Again word of mouth is not going to help Grow Ups 2. I expect Pacif Rims daily totals being ahead of GU2 by Tuesday or Wednesday and remain ahead of the rest of its box office run.
Hotel Transylvania 2 should be halfway decent so at least one of his upcoming movies isn't going to be half assed.
