Wow Iron man 3 should pass hobbit and DKR. Its legs might be cut by the other super hero movie though. I am looking forward to F & F 6 but I do not see it doing phenomenal numbers, but who knows. I also hope the Superman and Star trek movies are good.

The new ST is good. Man of Steel will be good. The quality is guaranteed. All it remains is that they gross enough for future iterations.

you are guaranteeing that S.T is good Mordred?

I will see it, but now have a backlog. Have to take the kids to see IM3. Since I loved it. Have to see Gatsby, and the S.T.

Iron Man 3 should be at 800 Million WW with Thursday earnings. Or very close to it. Will America give it 90 million plus this weekend?

No... that would be a better hold than The Avengers'.

Although its not officially past $800 million at box office mojo its really already quite a bit past the $800 million mark since box office mojo isn't very up to date with all their oversease numbers they still have it at $21 million in China and another website already stated that it was almost at $70 million mark there by Monday.

What do you think about Iron Man 3 this weekend?

they say 76 million.

No idea but over 80 million should be doable.

With Friday's numbers Iron Man 3 is now the highest grossing domestic picture so far this year and it will be easily be past the $850 million mark world wide by Monday as I predicted in the Iron Man 3 discussion thread. Also The Great Gatsby did a lot better then I though. It will easily do more then what a lot of expert predicted also.

I'm surprised there aren't any numbers for Star Trek yet but tomorrow there will be some for sure.

It opened on the 9th and 10th in a lot of overseas markets already.  Also its wolrd premire was on May 2nd in London.

Iron Man 3 is at almost at $949 million already but since box office mojo isn't too accurate with their overseas numbers its really already slightly past a billion dollars.

Holy shit @Iron Man. 1.3B+ possible?

Since its pretty much already at slightly over a billion it will be at 1.3B+ in about seven days.

That's a pretty big gap between its actually gross and its estimated one ... Its Friday gross is significantly lower than its predecessor's, but due to the higher opening day, their 4-day cums will be in line. Now, I don't know if its final dom. gross will go beyond $200M, but the foreign markets count the most - it needs to outperform 2009's Star Trek, which is looking likely to happen.
