It will fall short of tha... 4 13.33%

Finding Dory, Doctor Stra... 20 66.67%

It's going to be very cl... 6 20.00%

Thanks to pretty good overseas numbers the second G.I. Joe movie will make more money then the first one and will be a lot more profitable due to a smaller production budget and I'm guessing it had a smaller advertising budget also.

GI Joe was a terrible movie. Worst movie I've watched so far this year.

The dialog was groan inducing on multiple occasions, they even mucked up the awesome ninjas (freaking ninjas) with awkward stilted dialog and just bizarre character development.  I did not expect much, but it was...meh.

I thought it was worse than meh, I'd give it a 2/10.

I seem to remember the first one needed at least 300 million just to break even, and that was not including Marketing. Which was probably handled with DVD sales. This one only cost like 135 million right? So 260-270 million, not including marketing should be fine. Anything else would be great! Like I said, I only watched a few minutes of it, I am a sucker for the Rock though. So maybe that is why I will enjoy it.

I'm pretty sure the first movie made money probably not as much that they hoped for but movies that don't make money usually don't get sequels.

I've just viewed the new 'Now You See Me' and 'Elysium' trailers. Both have the potential of grossing some significant sums of money. Very appealing indeed, especially NYSM for me - it can't go wrong with that kind of star power and a seemingly well done story.

I cant wait for Elysium, District 9 is one of my most favourite movie of all time. It made $210,819,611 WW on a $30 mil budget.

Im thinking Elysium can double or triple that.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

It better, its budget is also triple District 9's budget.

42 is off to a pretty good start of course it will make next to no money overseas since its mainly is aimed at the North American market.

Yeah that budget has me worried. All those retro repoductions is what must have ballooned it out of control. Maybe Harrison Fords pay as well. Should do alright though. 40 million is the budget I think? Should make that either by next Saturday or the end of next weekend. Perfect time for that movie too. Because summer movies are here, whether we are ready or not.

$40 million isn't to big of a budget for what it is I'm sure there been some direct to video movies that had bigger budgets.  Even though the summer movie season doesn't offically start until Iron Man 3 is released on May the 3rd its more less summer movie season already.  Also the big winner this weekend was Oblivion which earned $61 million dollars overseas.
