I saw it yesterday and it was a great spectacle and overall a good movie. I wasn't blown away by it though. If you're going to see it, seeing it in a 3D cinema is kind of a must!

Not a fan of 3D so when I eventually see it, its going to be in 2D on Blu-ray.  Did you see Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon if you did how does it compare to it.

The newer 3D is quite impressive. I'm surprised you don't like it.

Wtf, suddenly Skyfall is at 1.077B :O. Will definitely pass Batman now. Sad :(

That sucks, cause Batman is clearly the much much better movie.

Django Unchained is now the highest grossing (without adjustment for inflation) western ever in large part to its strong overseas showing its now at $111.5 million overseas after its second weekend and $257,795,000 million world wide.

Yeah. Westerns do not usually do well over seas. Had hopes for Cowboys vs. Aliens. But no.

Parker had a 30 million budget. Actually. Playback with Gibson was about the same character.

Cowboys vs. Aliens was a pretty bad movie so I'm glad it actually lost some money at the box office.  But Django Unchained looks like it will be the first time in forever that a western will make more money overseas then domestically.  Since box office mojos numbers only go back to 1980 I'm not even sure if a US western ever made more money overseas then domestically.

The good the bad and the ugly?

Also playback is supposed to be Payback. Up above.

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly was a Italian movie though I'm pretty sure that pretty much all spaghetti westerns made more money overseas then domestically.

Django Unchained now made more money overseas then it did domestically only a couple more days before it will surpass Inglorious Basterds and become Tarantino's highest grossing movie at the box office.

Spurge stop bumping threads before I get Zero to ban you.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

Django Unchained will probably not surpass True Grit's domestic total still $160+ million for a R rated movie is very good and it will make a whole lot more overseas than True Grit did, I'm guessing around $250 million.

Just saw Django. Theater was 1/4 full still. We will see what it pushes out. Flight and skyfall still at dollar show and wreck it Ralph just arrived at dollar show.

Side effects should do decently. Sat in it for about 30 minutes while waiting for django to start. Looked really good.

Flight should have made it past the $100 million dollar mark but its legs where just too weak now that its out on Blu Ray/DVD it will be in dollar theaters just a couple more weeks/days.  Also since Wreck-It Ralph is now in dollar theaters its pretty much impossible for it to get close to the $200 million dollar mark I'm guessing it will end up with slightly more then $185 million domestically.

27th year anniversary.  But really just a cheap way to make some extra money I'm sure it didn't cost a lot to convert it into 3D.
