Can Disney beat Universal's record 2015 domestic gross - $2.445 billion?

It will fall short of tha... 4 13.33%

Finding Dory, Doctor Stra... 20 66.67%

It's going to be very cl... 6 20.00%

Total:30

Even though the Oogieloves is still going to be a legendary flop its already less of a flop then Delgo when you compare the budget and box office totals for both films. I'm guessing in two to three weeks Ice Age 4 will be the highest grossing animated movie overseas its already in the top ten for highest grossing overseas movies with $672.4 million.

Its funny that Delgo actually won a major animation award in Brazil (Anima Mundi).  But the only award it really derserved was a Razzie but it was too much of a failure and not on the radar long enough to even get a nomination for one.

TDKR has a chance at 1.1 billion! I thought it would barely pass a billion, but the boost from China is phenomenal

Monday (9/3) Update: Sony reports that The Amazing Spider-Man has grossed $33.3 million over seven days in China. The film's international is now $475.3 million. The worldwide total is $735 million.

That is great! TDKR is estimated to have done $28.5m over just the weekend if I understood it correctly, so Spidey is not quite as big as I thought in China compared to Batman.

No I think they meant to say TDKR did $28.5m over from Monday-Sunday and Amazing Spider-Man did $33.3m during the same time period

Yeah it now looks like another 25 million from U.S.A.

- Possibly another 40 million from China

- 60 million from the rest of the world

It will pass Pirates: Dead Man's Chest for 7th but let's hope it can pass Transformers 3 as well!

Dark Knight Rises will most likely go on to pass over 450 million domestically but how far will it go overseas? It is currently 577 million in 7 weeks! I believe that it will pass or near Ice Age 3's massive total of 690 million but will be below 700 million.

I think that Ice Age 4 is going to pass the $700 million dollar mark overseas and become the highest grossing animated movie of all time overseas.  And like Ice Age 3 its going to hold on to that top spot for at least three year because I don't see anything releasing anytime soon that can make more than that overseas when it comes to animated movies.  Well actually the second Smurfs movie could easily make over $700 million dollars overseas but I hope it doesn't the first movie made way more money then it actually deserved.

So how do you feel about TDKR passing Ice Age 3's 690 million total?

Since it will be in theaters for a couple more month it has a good change of making more then $690 million but not a lot more.  But the clear winner when it comes to overseas totals this year is Ice Age 4.  The Avengers did great also but I think I could have made a bit more, it should have been closer to a billion dollars in its overseas numbers.

Avengers looks like to be the winner so far in terms of overseas bo numbers but The Hobbit hasn't even released yet and Return of the King pulled in almost 750 million back in 2003 OS with only a 90 million budget. If the quality level of the Hobbit is as good as the Original Lord of The Rings trilogy then it can do what Avengers did WW overseas alone. (1.5 Billion)
