Forums - Nintendo - Even though people are making fun of the 3DS, the holiday line up is crazy good in Japan

The pad is a brilliant move, so long as it doesn't become a permanent fixture. It's worth freaking out some forum-dwellers and the short-term negative word of mouth because they have Monster Hunter.

Now the ball is in Sony's court. Vita needs launch Monster Hunter or Final Fantasy if it wants to get in on the radar this holiday in Japan

Its funny how if Sony didn’t have 3rd party support they would be long gone by now! Talk about not being able to stand on your own two feet… someone has to help you walk all the time!

that counts as a crazy good lineup?

Monster Hunter, Mario, Mario Kart, Inazuma 11

Could you name a better lineup? Mario Kart should cover expanded market needs, two top-of-the-line third party names, as well as the singular biggest name in gaming. The only way they could make it better is Pokemon Grey

inazuma may be a good game (i wouldn't know) but i wouldn't say it is a big name game.

monster hunter coming to the 3DS is a "G" version which historically hasn't done great.  coupled with the attachment drama i don't have confidence in it.

i won't argue against mario kart and mario, i just don't think that makes a crazy good lineup.

Wow I am amazed that it actually looks as good as the Wii game!! :D

There will most likely be tons of new stuff in it as I don’t think it’s a direct port of the Wii version.

More screens:

Touch screen can function as camera controls so you don't need that second c-stick. Plus it's got some Monster from the Portable games. =3 There's a new lock on targeting system and apparently online play.

I can't recognise anything from the second scan so it looks like this game's going to be more than a port. I can't wait. XD

Cool a targeting system will make it less frustrating and easier to keep an eye on the monsters :D

Oh that’s good that we don’t have to use the slider add-on (I will though as it would be more comfortable)

If you look at the above screens you will notice it is the same area that leads to the water part in the first land you visit in tri

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is a "G" version. Or are you talking about expansions in general?

I'll buy on launch as long as it gets a US release, I like killing indigenous life then harvesting a very small portion of it to build better methods to kill more indigenous life

Damn trig is looking good. It needs online play though.

Monster Hunter and Mario Kart 7 are more than enough to push 3DS this Christmas, that`s for sure.
Than, we still have Super Mario 3DLand and Inazuma Eleven which will make their impact aswell.
Don`t know if there are other important names but those we have make for a good line up later this year!

That looks much better than I expected.
