Mind you, all that's just the stuff they admit having done in the past. I shudder at the thought of what they're still hiding, or have eradicated all traces of.

 No JOKE!

I think the sad thing is that apperantly the democrats hate Bush Jr. so much that they feel they have to make government cover ups known to the public. Yet for years during not only their own times of controlling the white house but also when Republicans controlled it they remained quiet about equally heinous cover ups. Is Bush Jr. that much of a jerk or are they that desperate to win the next election? (Note: This next election is a gimmie election if they put a white male on the ticket.)

If who puts a white male on the ticket....Republicans or Democrats?

Democrats.

Ok...so you are saying that if they don't put Hillary or Obama on the ticket they win? Hate much?

It isn't hate its simple politics. People are sick of republicans at this point. History has shown that when people are sick of a party the other side will win. However putting in a minority or a woman results in an unpredictable factor to contend with.

First off, we don't know what the tapes had or why they were destroyed so you can calm down. Second, looking at the past there is another example of the CIA destroying interrogation tapes. In the previous case it had nothing to do with torture and everything to do with politics.

Apparently US interrogators dressed up like Saudis, where even the most brutal methods we use would be like a massage at Club Med in comparison, since usually that is enough to get terrorists to break down and talk. This high level terrorist instead gave the phone numbers of 3 Saudi princes and a Pakistani general and demanded to be released. The 4 died within a week and the tapes vanished when Congress asked the CIA for them to verify if that is what happened.

If I'm not mistaken the current tapes are of the interrogation of high level terrorists which means it much more likely that the tapes show them naming their contacts in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, or other Mideast countries than the terrorists being tortured.

Thirdly, given the complete and utter incompetence of the CIA I would be surprised to learn that they a) know how to torture correctly, b) can destroy a video, and c) most importantly they can keep it secret.  You've got serious problems when even the IAEA is more hawkish on the greatest current threat to global security.

Fourthly, as has been mentioned dirty things must be done to maintain civilization. The moment we stop is the moment we lose civilization. Europeans used to understand that when they were on top of the world but I suppose it's easy (convenient?) to forget that when someone else is on top. Indeed one of the major problems today is that the US tries to be too clean about everything rather than just doing what needs to be done like Europeans used to.

So that's why the Democrat Congress has record low approval ratings (far below even Bush's), all the Democrat presidential candidates are at best tied with the Republican ones in the polls, and all the statewide Democrat referendum last November were defeated?

It seems you're young and interested in politics so I won't berate you further but there is much to learn.

Whats wrong with Hillary Clinton? everyone seems to hate her

^^^She does have the highest negative poll rating of anyone (in the 2 major parties) who has tried to run for president. For starters, she's a, well, to put it nicely not a nice woman. There is a reason she has her mother and childhood friends running around trying to convince everyone she's such a nice woman because she isn't and few believe she is.

Her policies are by and large tax and spend socialism (she even said the US couldn't afford all of her plans) that most of the country opposes. Her one major policy initiative as first lady was a universal health care plan that was deeply unpopular and helped cost the Democrats their 50 years of total control of Congress in 1994.  So far on the campaign trail she has appeared to be the no-values calculating power hungry politician most people think she is.

She's also tied to her husband who contrary to popular belief amongst foreigners and Democrats was never terribly popular. He likely wouldn't have won in 1992 without Ross Perot as a 3rd party spoiler and he is the only 2 term president to not get a majority of the popular vote in an election. He also had to be banned from campaigning with Democrat candidates because most that he did try to help lost. Even now the sharp drop in Hillary's poll numbers started right about the time Bill started campaigning for her.
