Why make, what nobody is going to buy.

I will try it and if its as good as my TV I will buy it. 800 Is not much compare that to other 3d TVs .

Its all about how good that thing actualy is. If the Quality is good people are only not buying it because its unusual. Its actually a very good idea. If the quality is good and the visor can be worn for hours without feeling uncomfortable. Its a good option instead of a TV imo.

I'd like to try this thing in person. If the technology has managed to catch up to my expectations, I'd be willing to buy one of these things. And just imagine what first person porn would be like!

Why is sitting in comfort is so overrated these days?

Hmm reminds me of old virtual reality helmets from around 2000.
During one of Warsaw game/hardware expos we had in those years i managed to play Magic Carpet and one of mechwarrior titles using that ;)

But without head tracking supported by games it loses a lot of sense in such design.

There is no way I or the mass consumer will buy this.

It will go the way of the laser disc, mini-disc, BETA tapes, etc.

Looks cool if pointless, and I don't really think it could ever break the mass market, hence its high price

It doesn't need to be a success. It just has to work. If it works well and I get one, they can take it off of the market. I'll still be able to use it to play video games, watch movies, etc. for years to come. It's basically just a TV that you strap to your head, right?  One thing, though:  That tether has to go!
