Forums - Nintendo - NoE 3 : NoA 1 (Reggie strikes back) - Layton and the Last specter RPG mode

In this fascinating contest beetween rival console companies after Nintendo of Europe scored  big with securing exclusivity for 3 RPG titles now it's time for Nintendo of America counterattack by securing exclusive additional content in Professor Layton and Last Specter :D

Alongside providing the date, Nintendo’s American publishing branch also confirmed that a 100-hour-long bonus RPG mode, Professor Layton’s London Life, would be included in the American version of the game as well.

Official Nintendo Magazine are reporting that this bonus mode will not be present in the game’s European release. Speaking with ONM, Nintendo U.K. stated that they have no plans to include the London Life in the U.K. version of the game. The European release is titled Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call.

In the North American version of Professor Layton and the Last Specter, the London Life mode will be unlocked from the very beginning of the game. In the original Japanese release, it could only be accessed after completing the main game.

PS. Isn't it interesting that NoE seems to adopt Sony strategy while NoA responds with Microsoft like move ? ;p

As much as I like the Layton series, in no way that´s a consolation prize :/

As far as i´m concerned, it´s still NoE 3 vs NoA 0...a big, ugly 0!

This is stupid. NOE localizes a game that would have sold a bit better in the us and NOA keeps a feature for a series that sells better in Europe? man whatever lol.

Oh god, now i have to mod my 3DS in order to play it.

If they wan to strike back they can localize Xenoblade and The Last Story

It is weird to have something called London Life and not make it available for people from London

I'd call it a slap in the face but UK gamers are still getting the better end of the deal by far.

thats it Nintendo you show Nintendo how its done! stupid Nintendo why aren't you doing what Nintendo is doing?!

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

I can't believe that, why Reggie has to say no to a thing that NoE announce? Are we sure this is for real?
