Forums - Nintendo Discussion - HELP!! i think my ds is broken :(

i was just playing phantom hourglass and reached a point where it says to shout to get the attention of a nearby goron.

after screaming into the ds microphone like a moron for almost 15 minutes, my girlfirend told me to shut up and i began to think that there might be something wrong with the ds. i did drop it about a week ago, but there didn't seem to be any damage done up until now.

or am i just doing this part of PH wrong? WHY CAN'T THE STUPID GORON HEAR ME!!

if it is broken, what should i do? will nintendo replace it? my poor ds :(

Blowing into the mic also registers as a shout =)

The only reason Sakurai allowed Snake is because he was already a clone

How close are you to the mic?

I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)

Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

1 word: RTFA

have you been cheating on your DS? Maybe you're getting the silent treatment.

Maybe your girlfriend did something to it....

i've tried it from every distance and at every volume (ive tried blowing in it too) but the sound doesn't register.

maybe i screamed too loud the first time and made the goron go deaf.

Do you have a original DS or DS Lite?

ds lite. and its less than a year old so i should be within the warranty.

Do you have other games that use the mic? Like MKDS in Battle Mode? Try it there. Send it to Nintendo since it is under warranty.

Brain Training 2 never ever picks up my voice, so I turn that function off.

Maybe Nintendo DS's just don't like the voices of hot Australian dudes.
