I think afterall Xenoblade's 38K shipment we heard about was for the entire europe and not for france alone. BTW i think it's a good debut, for a JRPG in Europe, especially on a casual-oriented console like the Wii. if we look at Monster hunter Tri for example it opened at 73K end it is now at 350K in EU. And that was a much "bigger" game in terms of impact and marketing. If everything goes right we can expect final EU sales in the range of 150K - 200K. And that's better than every single rpg released in europe for the wii until now, except pokémon battle revolution.

Really is amazing how bad software and hardware sales are in comparison to previous Augusts globally.

3DS is obviouly up from nothing from 2007-2010 but all other hw combined has dropped by half from 2007-2008 to 2011. Software is down over 1/3 from 2008 too which is amazing given how much larger the bases for each system have become since then - people just keep buying fewer and fewer games.

As far as the PS3 price cut goes - will be interesting to see if it goes up again - my hunch is it will in some countries in Europe, and Japan (MH) but not in the USA. The week after, with Madden, should see a small push in the US though. PS3 sales are now comparable to mid-late August 2008 and August 2010 levels

It has two bundles 1 is a 160 GB the other is a 320 GB.

I am not that disappointed its just that I was expecting more. Its possible this is not the full effect but that's doubtful.

I say you and everyone else should wait for next week's numbers before judging the impact of this price-cut.
