to many people jumping the gun on this in this thread on the first page.

lower price points typically mean higher sells but the real question is how much higher will sells go!

if Sony thinks they can do better then fine. next yr we will see if the full effect of the price drop does any good to move hardware.

logically wht Jim Ryan said should work but wht Seece pointed out is true. its like PS3 and 360 are selling like the PS2 but its taking them longer to get there.

i'm not to worried wht the price drop does for this holiday season. i'm worried wht it does when it has a full yr to take advantage of.

It seems "13 year old tactics" are enough to irritate and provoke you.  Very telling about you indeed.    So why is your stock response to most anything pro Sony/Playstation negative?  It adds nothing to the conversation.

Anyway, it's too early to determine anything but it is no secret that Sony's first party is actually more varied and in many cases stronger quality-wise. In reality Sony's downfall started with Krazy Ken and trickled down to their marketing department which has been horrendous this gen. Hell even I was excited when I first saw the Gears of War commercial with "Mad World" playing in the background, yet Sony hasn't produced a commercial that gives me that same emotion. Thankfully they brought in Kevin Butler but it will take more.
